Discovery Times channel had a program apparently about the contemporary auto industry, and they visited a new "Disneyland for Adults" Hummer dealership in, I think, Milwaukee. They interviewed a family looking at vehicles. The mother said, paraphrased, "We're an SUV family. It was either this or a minivan, and I'm just not a minivan person. We have boys, and they go to school and everybody there has SUVs. It just wouldn't be cool for them to ride in anything else." Thank you ma'am; when Exxon goes to sleep at night, they dream of you.

2. To be fair-ish, the next segment was supposed to be on Detroit goes green

but I just couldn't go through with it. Switched off, never went back. It's like, fellas, if you want to go green, you could, maybe, STOP BUILDING BEHEMOTHS NOBODY NEEDS! Ah, I feel better.

3. Not fair at all

I need my SUV. Seriuosly, got the whole packin' it up take the road trip, haulin' whatever thing going on. Other than long hauls I'd be willing to guess I buy gas less than you. Office 5 minutes away. Don't get out much!
