Ann Richards doesn't dissappoint. She says Issa
was told by the WH to get out of the CA. gubernatorial race, even after he spent all that money. Then Larry says are you sure (paraphrasing here) and she says the rumors buzzing around are pretty certain they have an oar in the water.

Just too darn bad people don't listen. You bet the bushies have an oar in the water here. Ahnold apparently got a briefing from Rove that affected his "I'm not/I am running" announcement that left even his closest associates stunned. Just remember - what actors do for a living is take *direction*.

10. actually we do a bit more than simply take directions
I know you didn't mean to, but you just used a right wing talking point about actors. Must we go there?

13. 33 years in the business...
I stand by my assessment that it's a natural component of an actor's being.Successful directors are master manipulators. All of us in the business are ego-centric by nature. That doesn't mean we're not led.I am also the furthest thing from *right wing* you'll ever see.

7. this is back-room politics at its worst
I'm also pretty sure that it took some heavy "persuading" to get Geramandi out also. He was adamant about staying, even though several prominent Dems had advised him to get out.

Then suddenly he drops out (thank goodness). I wouldn't be surprised if he got a call from The Big Dog.

9. Ann ought to know how it works! She was a casualty of a similar GOP
takeover in Texas. They want to turn every Dem stronghold over..California, Florida, New York, and even Minnesota is well on its way too. People just don't get it...

Somehow I don't think Arnold has any idea what he's in for. Anyone who loves money and power as much as he does will get sucked in fast. But if he is what he says, it may be Bush who gets totally recalled.

19. I'm convinced that the White House is pulling the strings of

a couple of the Democratic presidential candidates as well. I don't, however, know if the candidates are aware that this is being done and hope that no Democrat would be complicit. Then again, "nothing shocks me anymore" (a shout out to my friend with the devilish avatar!)

What better way to control an election than by controlling the opposition?

21. Okay here I go--GW is the luckiest man alive...
...trying to post this link for the 4th time. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I keep getting disconneted. This is the best editorial of GW and how well he manages to get away with his wishes.

I still say Ann Richard knows GW better than anybody and she knows how to talk to him ...and about him. Ironically, no matter what, I think he respects her for the savy governor and politician--not to mention---wonderful person she is.
I hope this link works.
