Do Repubs regret crucifying Bill Clinton?
Now that they see their man, Dubya Bush, getting similar treatment from a lot of Democrats? And just wait to see what they do to John Kerry when he becomes President? But Democrats know what they will say and do to John Kerry. They are predictable. They will not be nice to John Kerry because you were nice to George Bush. Just something that needs to be out there, in my opinion.

1. No. They don't see connections. They don't get analogies.
And they especially can't conceive of consequences.

2. Double standard
Their non-stop unjustified fabrications and attacks on Clinton were "truth seeking" and "upholding the constitution"....

Our documented inquiries and protests over actual policy disasters are "persecution" and "partisan politics" and "class warfare" and "politicizing the war"....

Haven't you been paying attention?

5. Have They Stopped Trying? I Hadn't Noticed

I've heard them bring up Clinton again and again as they rail against legitimate criticisms of Bush.

One small example, in talking about the Iraq prisoner torture, I've heard them say, wonder if there are pictures of Clinton and Monica rolling around in the Oval Office....

In commenting on Hillary Clinton's questioning in connection with the scandal - they say, I am loathe to say this, but I cannot disagree with anything that ^%$&*())## said.

6. They don't. I read somewhere that something like 10% of the vote Bush
got in 2000 was from Democrats and some moderates who disagreed with Bush on every single issue and knew that they would be worse of financially, but were so upste by Clinton's morals they couldn't vote for Gore and had to vote for Bush.

So, 8 years of attacking Clinton relentlessly on things that don't matter got Bush the presidency in 2000. Republicans don't regret a single thing they did during that time.

7. i noticed this with a couple of co-workers ...
Edited on Sat May-22-04 10:46 AM by Pepperbelly
We were outside smoking and two revealed themselves as gopcons. When I advised them of the silliness of their positions by paraphrasing JD Watts' daddy's advice ... that a poor person voting republican is like a chicken voting for Col Sanders ... the first thing out of one of their mouths, as her head spun and she projectile vomited streams of goop from her gaping maw, was CLINTON! SEX!! LIES!!!

It didn't even make sense and most people looked at their feet in embarassment for her.

9. The easy answer?
No. Why would they? Because their attacks were vapid and purely partisan? That's what they live for. Because they're afraid of retribution? If the Dems haven't filed impeachment papers against * by now, they have nothing to fear. I would say that they revel in the success of their smear job on Clinton, and will not hesistate to do the same, or worse, to Kerry.;(

10. No....and if we DEMs ever can get control back...then some MAJOR..
....crucifixion of PUKES MUST TAKE PLACE...WE'VE played *bipartisan* and look where it's gotten us...and I HAVE to put a LOT of blame on CLINTON for ALLOWIN' them to crucify him in the way they did...he also allowed the rich to get even MORE filthy rich too which only exaserbated our current problems RE: MONOPOLIES....there in lies the REAL problem...as much good that was done to improve the economy and helped the middle and lower classes in the 90's....the top 1% still remained to turn 8 years of prosperity into what we've seen happen the last 4 years...so my point is....IF THESE MOFO'S AREN'T HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY ITSELF ONCE AND FOR ALL...then we can't continue to blame only the PUKES....and we DESERVE what they do to us....the time to fight fire with fire is long overdue....if not gone forever now. :evilfrown:

11. Fanatics don't have regrets.
Regret would require a conscience, and they don't have
one of those either.

13. We regret them crucifying Bill Clinton, but I doubt if they do.
Wait until Clinton's book comes out. I hope he goes into the matter in depth and names names and so on. If he does, the Repukes may find their mindless minions turning on them. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Clinton is going to expose the whole issue without any window dressing.

16. The Republican attack dogs seem woefully ignorant of...
the old "two can play at this game" concept.

In David Brock's book "Blinded by the Right" he mentions something about
how it never seemed to occur to these people that the tactics they were
adopting might come back to bite them in the ass. So, for instance, by
making personal sexual conduct a political issue, they opened the door
to having their own lives judged and condemned for less-than-perfect behavior.

18. I would guess
they haven't killed enough of their kids yet. 800 killed and a few thousand injured. Give Bush another 4 years and I bet they might jump the fence then but only if they personally feel the lost.
We on this board don't have to personally feel the lost to feel the pain of others.
