Who said this quote?
It's something to the effect of "When the youth of a nation goes conservative, it is doomed." Again, I can't remember the exact quote but I thought it was very good.

Anyone know?

1. I don't remember, but I adapted this from another saying
A young person who is a conservative doesn't have a heart, and an old person who is Conservative doesn't have a brain.

2. sounds like my gramps:
"When you're young, you follow your heart and you're a Democrat, when you're older, you follow your brain and you're a Republican."

another classic from him: "Rush is a very intelligent man."

Love the guy, but don't think I've seen him read one ounce of non-fiction in all the years I've been on this earth.

3. I think it's more a cyclical affair
When I was a kid I was a Reagan supporter/Bush supporter.

I didn't know any better etc. etc. etc.

THen I was educated.

Today's children aren't being taught to think for themselves to an extent--but it's also "hip" to be against their elders generation to an extent

in other words

The baby boomers were against anyone over 30
Their children are rebelling
Me-- born in `67 i'm in the "middle generation" just like my folks

Too old for gen x to young for baby boomers.

To quote the fairy-tale -- Not too cold-- not too hot-- JUST RIGHT (as in correct...)
