I see some southern "Christian" groups are boycotting Moore's film
So I intend to purchase some blocks of tickets and invite the senior center residents to enjoy a movie on me.

1. Good for you!
when it's out on dvd or vhs, you can count on fever-pitched groups full of themselves and their unique brand of insanity having bash, burn and break parties.

All in good frat-type fun, of course.

3. That's sorta like a fish boycotting a beach vacation.
As if there was any chance of them ever seeing the movie anyway.

13. Louse Mouse Eisner is out of the money loop now -- it's in the
hands of the Weinstein brothers personally (not their Miramax company); and since this movie just (a couple hours ago) won the highest prize (the Palme d'Or) at the Cannes Film Festival .... well, you know the rest .............. it will make a double fortune -- give a bow to irony-in-truth for a change!

26. More than a financial mistake
of monumental proportions.

This was a mistake in gauging the zeitgist.

He doesn't know how to make money anymore. Poor bastard. Send him off to the rich folks home to slumber in his ignorance for the next 40 years while starlets feed him grapes.

Let's see. That wasn't sarcasm. What the hell was that I just wrote?

They are completely morally corrupt.

Truly, when you think about what is anti-christ or anti-christian Bush and this swarm of twisted fundamentalist freaks fits the mold.

23. How can they "boycott" something that they wouldn't consume...
anyway? I don't think that cracker fundies were ever big fans of Moore before.
Now, if they were boycotting all-you-can-eat buffets and Dale Earnhart paraphernalia, that would be something.

Maybe it evens out, I didn't go see "Passion" either. Prefer not to spend a couple of hours in a theater with a bunch of fundies. The crowd at "Fahrenheit 911" should be much easier to be around.

29. How can you boycott something that's not available?
I can understand the boycott if it was playing at the local theater. In fact, I'd expect it. But it's not! Michael is still searching for someone to market it.

Talk about fighting against what might be!
