Can't we buy the Air America folks an air conditioner?

It couldn't cost THAT much. We have thousands here on DU alone. If enough people gave a few dollars we could easily cover the cost. These people are one of our few voices out there. Maybe we can help them out a bit. A fledging network can't pay for every expense, but maybe we could take care of the problem. Is it telethon time?

the network is growing and they're getting ready to add 11 more soon.

I haven't heard about the new 11. I haven't heard AA for awhile now since they went off the air in LA.

Yeah, paying the employees would be helpful too.

If the windows don't open, we couldn't get a window unit. And we can't afford central air.

7. I find it highly disturbing...

...how so many people seem so willing to gift cash and goods to a for-profit corporate entity. Don't get me wrong, while I love Air America (well, really like, anyway) and hope they don't go away, they are still a for-profit corporation. They may argue our side, but NPR or Pacifica they're not.

wonder if they could accept it. We could get a fund going and see what happens. I'm willing to participate. I'm pretty poor, but i'm willing to give a 20 or so at least. COunt me in. If there is anything you need me to help you with as far as organizing this, just let me know.
