Did Bush get his ass kicked or was he attacked?
When you fall off a bike you hardly ever hit your face.

Could the bruises and abrasions on Bush be from getting attacked by someone that wanted to do him "harm" or from a person in his cabinet that told him that he shouldn't go through with the Iraq war which would be kind of like an I told you so ass kicking?

We all know that our corporate media would never release any pictures of the truth about their dear little boy.

1. Unless you pass out before falling off the bike - then it is quite likely
you will hit your face. Killer "pretzel" (wink, wink) strikes again!

2. Dubya's face
Maybe it hardly ever happens, but it can.

Not that I'm generally one to defend Dubya (that's an understatement)

But, this is the guy who fell off that little scooter-like thing noone is supposed to be able to fall off of.

And, I've got a friend who tore her face up on a bike.

It may just be that Dubya gives Gerald Ford a run for his money...

3. there is a rumour
that he was wearing a mouthguard and fell on his face. even a child knows reflexively how to protect their face. another peice of evidence for the post alchoholism dementia arguement.

11. First time I ever rode a ten speed
Edited on Mon May-24-04 11:22 AM by 5thGenDemocrat
I was pedaling north on Bay Road about 25 mph, came to the light at Congress and grabbed the hand brake to stop.
Alas, it was the front brake and I went ass-over-teakettle right over the handlebars. I think I landed on my shoulder, but the bike itself landed on my face, chest, crotch and extremities.
I'm sure I looked even worse than Dopey does.
This is no way implies The Trained Chimp wasn't drunk -- that would surprise me not at all during a lost weekend at Rancho de Puerco. That someone might try and beat the snot out of him wouldn't surprise me, either.
John
It is now 25 days, 23 hours and 42 minutes to FUNDAY. You can even ride a bike here, should you be able to handle something like that.

16. In fairness...
Once you panic-clench on the hand brakes (as he surely would) it's hard to reposition the hands effectively, and he does have 'defensive wounds' on his hands (or are those stigmata?) indicating some retention of primitive reflex function.

6. Come on, folks. Remember who we're talking about here.
I think it's pretty likely that this happened exactly as advertised. This is the same guy who fell off a Segway and nearly choked to death on a pretzel. He's perfectly capable of falling off a bike on his face.

Beat up by one of his cabinet members? Yeah, that's really likely. :eyes:

Not every news story hides a conspiracy....

7. If he was going downhill and hit the front break first to slow down,
I could see him vaulting face first over the handle bars. Must be new to bikes of he would know to hit the rear break first. If the part of the story about him doing it going downhill is true, I could see the face hit happening. But the bit about loose dirt due to recent rains? Texas DUers report no such rain. I guess we could check the NOAA site if they archive their precipitation maps...

The boo-boos on his hand intrigue me. They look like puncture marks rather than scrapes like on his face. Or possibly like bad burn marks, seems like size/shape of cigarette to flesh wounds. Is someone torturing the pResident? Hurting one's hand would be normal, the hand would come out to protect the face, but seems like it would be scraped too and not just full of holes.

If the doctor riding with him (WTF was that about anyway?) didn't do a through (and painful) disinfecting of the face scrapes, there is always the chance of infection later. Many people don't realize how much trouble those seemingly minor scrapes in the dirt can bee. Lots of bacteria in soils, especially in the west where we have plague and anthrax besides tetanus in the soils. Sometimes after what seems like only a surface scrape, a nasty infection can set in.

14. I believe a doctor is always with the president in case of medical
emergency. At least that seems plausible, especially out in the back woods somewhere.

I agree he may well have fallen off a bike. I think it points to a more serious medical condition though. Seizures? Dementia?

15. No gloves

I find it VERY, VERY odd that the President wasn't wearing gloves. If he was wearing gloves, he wouldn't have abrasions on his palms, only bruises.

Who wears a MOUTHGUARD, but not gloves. Who goes out in the sun for 2-3 hours and comes back whiter than white. Why did they lie about the rain in Crawford????

Nope, I think the whole story is bogus. I think the guy did something REALLY STUPID. Or, he is having seizures as noted by other writers.

I agree, as lies go, this is a small one for the Bush Administration. But, it's a lie nonetheless. And it makes you wonder why they have to lie about something so small. It makes you wonder if you can believe a SINGLE word this administration sais.

10. Laura Did This
Oh, come on. This is easy.

George didn't want to go to the twins' graduation cremonies because he was afraid of protests. Laura, of course, the mother of the twin brats, wanted to go to the milestone events.

They had a big domestic dispute. I heard that Laura threw a lamp and an ashtray at George.

I also heard that Laura decked him with a couple of combination punchs to the chin and cheek.

Though I think there's more to this alleged Junior face-plant.
