The Bush speech. Had to get this off my mind.
So because of the Bush administration's various scandals, his support is plunging down to 40%. Surprised? So what does Bush do? Speeches, speeches and speeches. What else but speeches can he produce to cheer his increasingly doubting supporters? Even conservative Republicans are starting to quit on him.

Does he think our nation stupid? Does he really think we're going to drink his Kool-aid about democracy in Iraq and happily accept his godly plans of freedom and liberty for all? Please, spare us the lies and deceit. He will tell us of the challenges we are facing, of his beautiful goals of peace in the Middle East while his administration just introduced the NO CAMERA law in the military to cover-up its fuck-ups and has the balls to extend its exemption from the Geneva convention while all this scandal is happening. All of this while it allows dumbasses to confuse terrorists with Iraqi civilians so soldiers can morally treat the later like sub-humans.

He will blame Al Qaeda knowing full well they're in Iraq *NOW* to recruit victims whose families our army of liberators killed by the tens of thousands.

He denigrated the UN and now he begs for international support.

He introduced the bastardly conceipt of pre-emptive war based on faulty intelligence so now all nations can follow his mighty example and make this world a little less secure everyday.

So what did he do? What will he attempt to justify? Whose teary-eyed fundie is he going to convince? He just gave birth to a new generation of terrorists; all the kids in Iraq who saw their families blasted into pieces are going to grow up with only one thing in mind:revenge.

What do you think they'll grow up to be?

And this, we can't talk about. No, we can't say the truth. The war on terrorism is far from over, and a "new" Iraq is certainly not going to stop them. The Iraq war looks like a skin-colored band-aid on a wound two inches deep.

1. He'll have Sadr's head on a pike any day now.
Too soon to bring out Osama. (cynicism yes, sure)

There are many waiting in the wings to take Sadr's place.
We act as though these people have no reason for what they are doing. They are willing to die for what they believe in and for their families and their culture. We aren't even willing to stop driving and walk!

19. 14 months.
But who's counting. Still a valid point, though.

3. I only watch or read Nonfiction!
Having someone lie to me all evening is not what I'd call quality entertainment! I'm watching Gilligan's Island reruns instead! Something that will make a little more sense!

8. Bwah! Combine the two
"Gilligan's White House"

Gilligan - Bush
The Skipper - Cheney
The Professor - Rice
Ginger - Powell
Thurston Howell III - Rumsfeld
Mary Ann - they ain't got one
Mrs. Thurston Howell III - random Defense Dept. Neo-con

I think it would be a hit destined to run late night on TVLand for the next century.

15. Yep. No more camera phones! Since they think camera phones
were the way the abuse story originally "got out". So no more of that.

See problem solved. If you can't see it or prove it with pictures then they can abuse all they want with no more worries.

6. He's definitely the captain of a sinking ship!
He is incompetent. He created the trouble in Iraq with no thought to its end. Actually, make that no thought period.

He is the most dangerous of leaders as he refuses to take the advice of thinking people and he heads full bore into war as the only solution.

Thank God he will be gone soon, however, the destruction, acrimony and pain he created will last for generations.

10. Keep in mind that george
believes he is going to be a central character in the "3rd testiment," or the new chapters of the bible. Yes, you and I know that is beyond pathetic. But for him, it is real. Thus, he views the current "doubt" in the American public's mind as part of a "holy" story .... where he is the great leader, with such strong faith, that he will work what he believes is "God's will" on earth. When he speaks tonight, look for the fundie-code words, and remember that he believes that God is sitting down in front of the heavenly screen, watching with a sense of pride in his choosen son. The greater the public dissatisfaction with him, the more he goes into this fantasy world. The more he goes into this imaginary world, the more dangerous he becomes to all of us.

18. Yes
and this is what's wrong with this country. Fundies would love to force-feed the gospel on the rest of us AND the world. How disgusting and abhorrant. We have a brainwashed fanatic for president.

13. Don't ever underestimate this regime nor the American people
This same regime sold the Americans a bunch of lies in order to go to war and they wept and waved flags. It convinced 70-75% of them that Saddam had something to do with 9/11. He's now launching into free propaganda on nationwide cable.........do not ever think he's toast. Kerry may have to prance around with a plastic turkey to get support once this propaganda blitz gets under way........plastic turkeys work on the American people, you know.

16. Oh, I don't think the battle's over, on the contrary
I was speaking for those who won't believe his words of reassurance. Of course Bush is going to use speeches because he knows they work. As sad as it is, most Americans would rather have lies spoon-fed to them than to search the truth themselves.

21. Throughout Bush's term in office, the more he speaks, the less people like
him.

the only times his approval ratings have stopped going down were after 9/11 and after invading Iraq.

Talking to the public has never worked for him.
