"The right never resorts to as hominem attacks" -Hannity, 10 minutes ago
and that's why this was on oxycyst's site today:

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_052104/content/truth_detector.guest.html

"On another occasion, Limbaugh put up a picture of Labor Secretary Robert Reich that showed him from the forehead up, as though that were all the camera could get. Reich is indeed a very short man as a result of a bone disease he had as a child. Somehow the effect of bone disease in children has never struck me as an appropriate topic for humor."

1. I would LMAO
but that's just insane.

Will freeptards EVER realize how f$&#ed up the a-holes they follow like lemmings are, and start thinking for themselves for once?

3. no, they never will
that would mean admitting they were wrong, stupid, ignorant, and gullible

freepers care more about that than they care about America

5. You just said a mouthful, friend!
Is that part of being a conservative, and maybe part of why they're so afraid of change? Because it requires that one admit that something you did in the past may have been wrong?

*sigh*

Sad thing is it's not just freeptards. My internet-hating in-laws just loooooooove bush (well, not really, but they'll sooner be roasted over hot coals than admit their boys a screwup!)

10. their "politics" are all about attitude
they follow the blow-hards because they use scorn, ridicule, and derision to express themselves, and has nothing to do with the validity of their arguments

same reason they watch wrestling even though they "know" it's fake... the tough-talk is so alluring that they will even almost believe it's real

2. Or calling Chelsea Clinton "the family dog"
Hannity bores me to tears. It is incredible how one person can be so consistently uninteresting.

7. he bores me as well
unfortunately, i have a neighbor who loves him so i hear bits of it when i go next door (my neighbor is a good guy, just hopelessly deluded)

i've never understood the appeal of any of these shows. who wants to listen to one guy talk for three hours straight with no opposition or guests? this is especially true with rush-i'm too busy trying to fight off sleep to get offended by the pillhead. at least hannity, on a rare occasion, has someone like huffington or dean on to fight with him.

you'd think the fact that these guys can only 'debate' in their carefully maintained bioshere/pocket universe would tell their audience something about the validitry of their arguments.

13. "no opposition or guests" is the whole appeal
they don't want to be informed, they want to hear someone speak with righteous indignation in support of the notion that there really is a santa claus, to hear 'them' being put down and insulted by 'us'. Facts are irrelevant

remember how apoplectic some kids got when they learned santa wasn't real, even though they already knew it in their hearts?

You'll get the same reaction trying to convert a freeper

6. In all fairness,
President Clinton made a quip about Reich's height one time. I think Robert Reich is generally pretty good natured about it.

The way Rush drags out the pronunciation of Reich's last name (Riiiisssssschhhhhhhaa!) was maybe funny the first time or two, but it has gotten pretty old over the years.

8. That's like my sis calling me a bitch
It's funny when she does it, because she's my sis.

When someone else does it, and not in a humorous way but with hatred, it's far from funny.

12. It started out
As an imitation of the way Reich introduced himself in public once "I am Robert B. Reich" and slightly accentuated the "SCH".

Rush took that sound clip and exaggerated it to extreme proportion.... sort analagous to how a op/ed cartoonist draws charicatures of people exaggerating various features.

Like I said, it was somewhat funny at first, but stopped being funny a long time ago.
