Long Lost Hikawi Tribe found near Crawford, Texas.
Selling recipes and F Troop Memorabilia at Flea markets, the Tribe has done very well over the years since their TV Days.

The beliggerant goofy sergent, or the lame goofy captain?

Enquiring minds want to know.

8. Screaming Chicken was the medicine man
played by Edward Everett Horton- of Fractured Fairy Tale fame.

the chief of the Hakawi's was Wild Eagle aka frank dekova.

bonus question- how did the Hakawi's get their name?

5. HA! Thanks for the giggle. Interesting social commentary from sitcoms
in the sixties about war. It was a constant frame of reference for power hierarchy gags-underlings scoffing at a bumbling boss.

I think there was an attitude of cynical derision of the beaurocracy that bumbled its way into war and left everyone on the bottom doing the fighting to bond against authority MORE than against the official enemy.

So F-Troop and McHale's Navy and Gomer Pyly USMC and even Hogan's Heroes eventually led to the widespread popularity of M.A.S.H. where the Korean War was a euphemism for the failed and still going Vietnam War.
