I love my Power! My threads stop folks from voting for Kerry..Ur Right!
I can't tell you how many times I've read from Naderites, Deaniacs, etc, saying that "way to go, I will not have to rethink my position on voting for Kerry". OR..."Do you think your posts will help bring supporters on board for Kerry"?

WOW! The Power that I yield! I have the power to turn a usually rational person into a blithering idiot who will not vote for Kerry which intern enables George W. Bush to remain in power for 4 more years.

BULLSHIT! If a dumb ass like me can influence you to help George, then you are nothing more than a hollow naked fake ideologue!

4. Is this the same "New Left"...
Edited on Sun May-30-04 06:34 PM by wyldwolf
...that bubbled up after Kennedy lost the nomnation in 1980 and Tsongas and Brown lost it in 1992?

There are always those in the party who disapprove of the nominee - and a few who speak of noble left uprisings.

6. No...it's the "New Left" with the Internet....which gives VOICE to folks
who didn't have it after those nominations. It's a whole NEW WORLD.

Things move very fast, as you know. Hard to silence voices who have "access" to so much more information about "Spider Webs" than it was in those "old days" when we believed "more or less" what we read or saw on TV news...(which actually was much better because it was so "condensed" without much of the Corporate "HACK" control we have today.) It was corporate control, but with a more "benevolent hand." imho...and it wasn't so concentrated to the Left...because there were still a "few good souls ...patriots who were enthralled with the "good" we had done in WWII.

The Corporatists/Media today are only enthralled with their Power, Money and Greed. "Apples & Oranges" in the times you are referring to and now.

But...this is only my humble opinion...

8. Of the three you mentioned only Kennedy
campaigned as a leftist. Brown camapaigned as a flat tax populist and Tsongas as a social liberal/ fiscal conservative. I don't think any of the candidates, except maybe Kennedy, would have laid claim to having brought the party back to the left.

9. I never said those candidates laid claim to bringing the party left
Edited on Sun May-30-04 07:01 PM by wyldwolf
...I said that after certain election years, people further left promised some left uprising because they disapproved of the dem nominee.

5. I've not the foggiest notion what you are talking about...
...I'm voting for Kerry, because he'll be a better President than Bush. At the same time, I'll work at the local and state level to ridicule the DLC apparatus and rid representative government of the cockroaches...
