Bush said NO in 2001 to $350mm Power Grid upgrade ( 2 days of Iraq cost )
Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 05:05 PM by TruthIsAll
Bush fought the Dems to defeat upgrading the N.E. Power Grid.
And we had the money: Clinton's Surplus, but Bush said no and let Enron rape California;

Now that we have BUsh's $400 billion deficit, he is spending $5 billion a month on an illegal war to enrich his Carlyle/Halliburton/Bechtel bosses.

Come on, Grey Davis, come on Dems, fight the bastards!

Give 'em hell by telling the TRUTH!

crisis is going on?....Can you imagine what they would be saying about Clinton if it was him?

3. You've got to have your priorities straight.
You've got to have your priorities straight. What's more important fund raising or 50 million people without electrical power?

12. Remember Michael Bilandic
He was mayor of Chicago and lost his reelection bid because he didn't clear the snow off the streets fast enough. Always take disasters seriously if you're a politician.

2. Do you have a citation?
Do you have a citation?

In any event, it's Clinton's fault. Deregulation couldn't have had anything to do with this. ABC, Always Blame Clinton.

June 20, 2001 (Washington, DC) - Rep. Sam Farr tried to offer an amendment to an appropriations bill today that would provide funding for electric power grid improvements. The Republican-dominated Rules Committee refused to allow the amendment on the bill.

During the California blackouts of 2001, several members of Congress proposed spending $350 million to improve the nation's transmission system, but the measure was opposed by the Bush administration and was voted down by Congressional Republicans.

9. WRITE/CALL the media.
To top it off, he spent last night with his hand out for GOP cash while millions of Americans were without power.

Someone should hear about this. Unbelievable.
