1930s
1940s
1950s
1960s
1970s
1980s

1. not much help if you do not live in California

I use the following site for political maps, but I did not see anything historical. I have the Kansas page here, but it does all states.

If you live in California, a decent sized library might have a set of Blue Books going back a ways. I do not know if all states have Blue Books since I have only seen them in Wisconsin.
Sometimes I think it is easier to find things in a library than through Google.

3. If you can find the Almanac of American Politics 1992...

or an older version, it has the 1980s congressional maps. I don't know about older ones, though...to tell you the truth, I've often wondered about historical redistricting. The only useful thing I found was these MD maps, which cover the 1970s, 80s, and 90s.
