"Republicans for Dean" blog
http://republicansfordean.blogspot.com/

Mea Culpa: James Moore is not the only person who should be asking for forgiveness about voting for or even supporting Bush. Many of us thought we would be getting someone who was fairly moderate in his policies. In fact, I remember many GOP moderates thinking that this was a new era in the Republican party where Eisenhower-style centrist Republicanism would rule. Many thought the far-right was finally on the wane. We were wrong on both counts. We were had. We ended up with a president that seems only to want to please his base on the radical right and not actually govern all of America. Mr. Moore, from one sinner to another, you are forgiven.

Someone here will spin this as a bad thing. Something along the lines of "if Dean attracts repukes/freepers/bushits/BFEE/dittoheads/rednecks/etc then I won't support him! He is worse than ten Hitlers! I'd rather eat seventeen rotting dead babies than support Dean! He might as well be (insert name of horrible right-winger here)!"

You get the picture.

5. Right...
...I for one would rather vote for the candidate I support the most rather than for the candidate Rove/the GOP/Unfree Republic hate the most.

2. As an extreme Leftist Liberal libertarian Democrat I must say
This is an extremely good development and demonstrates my POV that Dean is the only Democrat who could truly be electable.

I know Dean is nowhere near as liberal as I would choose. I also know that pragmatism is required to win this election.

Thank you. This is exactly my point-of-view as well.

10. Because more than just pragmatism is required.

Because more than just pragmatism is required.

One must also have policies which can be distinguished
as being different from Bush's when viewed THROUGH
THE DISTORTED LENS
of the media. Lieberman, seen
smiling at Bush in the Rose Garden as the two of them
"went to war", clearly fails this test.

13. Lieberman is not the most pragmatic choice
Although I often argue here that Lieberman is less conservative that many other DUers make him out to be, his isn't left enough to "motivate the base" (witness the boos at forums).

This might not be an insurmountable problem if he also were likely to attract enough in the people in the middle to make up for it. But, he is not likely to do so. He is uncharismatic and doesn't excite people.

He will need all the support he can get. Who knows maybe even a mind will be changed.

8. I especially like the "Skeeter speaks" part...
...it's nice that someone is finally fighting for my rights as an atheist to live in a USA that doesn't have an official religion.

11. Skeeter is a pantheist
judging by our many emails on the subject. He lives in So Cal.
Funny dude.

...but he's also right, and that's far more important.

But then again, I shouldn't be surprised that maverick Republicans may be as pro-separation as maverick Democrats. When it comes to separation of church and state, there's only the Republicratic party that supports state-sanctioned Christianity with some people on its fringes who don't.

14. This is a parody making fun of Dean and DU from the same group that
sponsors DUMB--which highlights the posts on this site that it thinks are unintentionally funny.

16. it's pretty clear
The sarcasm is pretty obvious-the author of the site says the administration is "pretending" to solve the problem and gives a link to Powell going to the U.N., which is what Dems have been calling for.

He says someone should be a campaign strategist who makes some strange suggestions.

The "stunning piece" says the U.S. was providing a high level of security.

The "do your part now" link is not a good example of Dean links.

etc...

http://dumonitor.blogspot.com/

Dean people should pay enough attention to the mainstream media to realize that he is the GOP dream candidate,
