In other words, what if al-Harbi (bin Laden's confident that turned himself in) tells interrogators the OBL is dead? Wouldn't that throw Bush's "we are safer" meme out the window? How would the voters take it to know that all of this time with the war in Iraq, little news about Afghanistan, increased anti-Americanism from the rest of the world that he'd been dead since we put daisy cutters on the caves in Afghanistan?

Seems to me that would be like a nail in the coffin for the Bush re-selection.
