Where to buy My Pet Goat -- or read the hilarious anti-Bush reviews
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0026863553/ref=cm_cr_dp_2_1/102-0988782-9285716?v=glance&s=books&vi=customer-reviews

Amazon.com page for the book containing "My Pet Goat", with satiric customer reviews parodying President George W. Bush, like:
Reviewer: A reader from Washington, DC
I really, really liked The Pet Goat. Why, it sure meant more to me than my staff briefing on August 6, 2001. What was that about?

All that crap in the Amazon.com link isn't me getting affiliate dollars or anything; this is Amazon's idea of a url.

Steady Readership In Times Of Change, July 8, 2004

Reviewer: A reader from Sarasota, Florida
A riveting story that keeps you glued to the page until the stunning climax. Even a notification from your staff that the nation you lead is under attack can't keep you from reading the gut-wrenching final words.

There will never be another book like this one. One warning though, NEVER read this book under the influence of drugs. You'll be hiding in the closet for weeks. :smoke:

12. OK, I took the bait...here's the one I just posted.
Everything except the title of the review and the last sentence came straight out of Dubya's mouth. 100% unedited Bush quotes from this URL: http://slate.msn.com/id/76886/

A charge to keep, and I'm keeping "My Pet Goat"

by a reader, Crawford TX, USA

I glance at the headlines just to kind of get a flavor for what's moving. I rarely read the stories, and get briefed by people who are probably read the news themselves. My job is to, like, think beyond the immediate. Why don't you mentor a child how to read? There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, fool me once, shame on—shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again. If you don't have any ambitions, the minimum-wage job isn't going to get you to where you want to get, for example. In other words, what is your ambitions? And oh, by the way, if that is your ambition, here's what it's going to take to achieve it. There's no cave deep enough for America, or dark enough to hide. I'm thrilled to be here in the bread basket of America because it gives me a chance to remind our fellow citizens that we have an advantage here in America—we can feed ourselves. There may be some tough times here in America. But this country has gone through tough times before, and we're going to do it again. I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here. The public education system in America is one of the most important foundations of our democracy. After all, it is where children from all over America learn to be responsible citizens, and learn to have the skills necessary to take advantage of our fantastic opportunistic society. In conclusion, buy this book today.

5 out of 5 stars "My Pet Goat" - best little book ever!, July 14, 2004
Reviewer: A reader from RedState, USA

This here is a plumb good book. It is our Great President's faovirte book out of all the three that he has actually red. This book was soo interesting that our Great President couldn't even tear himself away even when the nation was under attack. So he does two care a lot about books, even if the Lieberal media says he don't!

For animal - lovers of all ages!, July 14, 2004
Reviewer: A reader from Arlington, VA United States

I used to misunderstimate the value of children's books but I must admit this story (and some of the more difficult words) kept my mind preoccupied. I enjoyed its words and ilusstrash..pictures..so much. I passed my copy on to my friends Rick and John. They both loved it. As a matter of fact, they asked if I could get them some other picture books about dogs and box-turtles. They sure love their animals!

21. Another funny one...
Bestest book I ever reads, July 14, 2004

Reviewer: dupree63 (see more about me) from VENICE, CA USA

I have to say that this is the bestest book I have ever reads. The only other book I reads was the bible, but I did not really like the fornication parts. But, the parts where Jesus kicked some muslim ass was great!

Anyway, even though this book has some big words like "determined" and "attack", I was still so engrossed that I just had to finish...even though the country was being attacked on it's own soil and people were jumping out of buildings and over 3000 american citizens died.

The picshures are nice too. If my daily briefings had picshures, or better yet, pop-ups, I might actually read those too!

Even Better Than The Cliff Notes!, July 14, 2004
Reviewer: A reader from Democratic Underground
Uncle Dick first bought me the audio tape and that was swell but then Aunt Condi (isn't she sexy?) gave me the Cliff Notes! WOW that was really NEAT!!

When I became a Big Boy I took the REAL book out of my Library and it only took me THREE DAYZ to finish! See, nobody could fly planes then and I had ALL kinds of time to read it!

Well, a FEW planes were flying but not anybody important so it was ok. Then, Bandar came over to play and I read it to him and he liked it too! I just love playing make-believe with Bandar. He's fun!

Then we played Army in the sandbox and I broke all my army-men and now I hope I get new ones for Christmas cause I'm about all out.

m Cheese m(...)
