How many important speeches have the networks missed at the Convention?
And will they miss as many speeches at the Republican Convention? Which speeches will they neglect to show in NYC? Will they only show Arnold and Guiliani and the so-called "pro-choicers", so they can brag that they are the Party of inclusion for political purposes only? And will the networks fall for their little scam? Chances are they will.

If people in this country have only watched what has been on the Big Three and FOX-TV, they have not received a true picture of what this Convention has been about or what the Party is about. They have practice censorship, simply by their exclusion of certain messages. How could they not show Jimmy Carter, or the Reverend, or Teresa Heinz Kerry, or Ted Kennedy, or Obama? As usual, they will argue that they are atempting to give the "big picture" without total coverage. But, they are giving a partial picture and filling it in with negative and superfluos commentary.

1. I wasn't aware the Big Three were showing any footage of the convention.

I guess I've just left it on MSNBC or CNN and not switched over.

On edit:

What types of speeches can the repugs give in NYC? There's been a lot of hope coming from these speeches and you've got to feel good about the way they've showcased the party.

I know Bush talks about how his policies have strengthened America, our security, and our economy - but I don't see it and neither do a lot of others. There's no way they can get away with the positive attitude the dems are pushing this week.

3. Watch PBS
They have Convention News on at 6:00 with Lehrer. And then their convention coverage begins and they stay with the whole program. They have some filler but not bad.

2. Yes the networks bow to the GOP lord and master
Rove and company knows they can't win this election. If the election conforms to fair play they will lose in a land slide.

They have no issues to run on, they have no track record to run on, and now they have no message to run on.

The Dems, if you watch it on C-SPAN or PBS, have stolen the typical GOP rallying call of "strength, honor, and honesty" And now the GOP can't run on those traits without looking like they are copying the Dems.

The only tool they have left in the box is censorship, suppression, wedge issues and distortion. Expect to see a lot of that stuff from now until Nov. 2.

What we have on our side is unity and individual voice. Its up to us, the little people, to talk to everyone we know and keep the message alive.

Its one thing to watch the GOP hate machine on TV, but its another to practice it while standing in front of another human being.

9. Absolutely
What a relief to watch for yourself -- without all the talking heads commenting and smearing. Bliss.

5. Fox allowed Hannity to blather over Carter
That was unspeakbly bad form. I keep meaning to send them an email and ask them who they will have on talking when Bush Sr. speaks at the convention?

6. And Carter's message was so important to the Party and the country...
and I think, set the tone for the rest of the Convention.

7. O'Leilly was blabbering
throughout the Kennedy speech.

The Big Three didn't even show coverage last night. When they do show coverage, they're running their mouths most of the time.
