Ladies and Gentlemen, what we have is the face of panic, horror, and fear
When you look at Rush Limbaugh and other Republican operatives that have connived and planned to steal another election by ridicule and character assassination, you can see and feel the panic in their voices. They believe that negative politics works. They know negative politics works because it has worked so well for them in the past. They know that the Willie Horton ad was effective. Negative, but effective.

But now, they see that Mr Bush has spent almost $100 million dollars on mostly negative ads and they are still behind. And there are now only 87 days left until the election. A pall of panic has beset them in the last few days. They are acting like desperate people.

It is humorous to watch them wiggle and to listen to the excuses and attacks that come from their sick little heads. Their eyes are a little bigger. Their voices about two octaves higher and they talk louder. Actually, it is almost like a scream for help. :)

1. Scared, maybe
But they're not going to just hand back everything they've stolen. We're doing okay right now, and it's time to make sure we follow all the way through. These greedy bastards are going to have to have their grasping fingers snapped in two to turn loose of our country, and we have to make sure we're up to the task.

2. I love this section from a recent Kerry campaign e-mail...
...it reinforces what you've said in your post.

"Once again, it's you who have convinced me that this is a campaign we can win -- no matter how many forces are assembled against us. When I decided to run for president almost a year ago, I never imagined how big this campaign would become -- or how determined people like you would be to stand up to George Bush and lead America in a new direction. George Bush has raised $220 million dollars -- for his primary campaign alone. He spent most of that money to try to mislead Americans about my record and my life.

But those of you who joined my campaign early on stepped forward to do something that's never happened in presidential politics before: you went toe-to-toe with the special interests, toe-to-toe with Bush's 924 "Pioneer" and "Ranger" corporate fundraisers. You contributed an astonishing $195 million dollars. You enabled us to campaign just as aggressively and just as broadly as George Bush. Without you, we'd have our backs to the wall and people would be talking about our campaign being no match for a strong, heavily-funded Bush juggernaut. Instead, we're kicking off the general election from a position of incredible strength. Nothing like this has ever happened before."

6. Michael Moore says we should pity them.
I think his analogy in "Dude, Where's My Country?" was that conservatives are like dinosaurs that know they're going to be extinct soon. He says we should listen to Ann Coulter, Rush, and O'Reilly and realize that they act and speak the way they do because they know their time is almost up and they want to do as much damage as they can before they go down in flames.

And he's absolutely right. A government that relies on shrill idealogues to cover up its inadequacies cannot possibly survive. Let them get the hate out of their systems now, because they will all go away soon.
