Can someone please define for me?
What is a neo - liberal?

A conservative and I had a brief encounter today.

I said, " I don't have a problem with conservatives but I do have a problem with neo-conservatives."

He said "and I have a problem with neo-liberals"

I did not counter as it was not in the best interest of the discussion in a bar as my thoughts and idealogies are too deep seated and I was sure he could not comprehende.

Of course if I would have had the energy to get into it with him would have been to say that, actually, the democrats are further to the right than what he may really believe or is too stupid or uninformed to understand.

Earlier I heard him commenting that J Kerry had to cheat & commit fraud to get his three purple hearts. I had to bite my lip

4. I was in a bar FULL
of Republicans

#1 You will get thrown out for causing a political ruckus

#2 I didn't have the energy today to argue

We both knew we couldn't go there with each other without getting into a heated battle and disturbing others....so we let it go...but agreed to discuss again POSSIBLY at a future date

3. Clinton could be called a neoliberal
they believe in free trade, globalization and economic growth in addition to traditional liberal values

That's my take anyway, I've been wrong before but here is an article that may help
