1. a post
Actually as I read this garbage and the accompanying comments from both sides I want to puke! The liberals are screaming for GW's blood and the conservatives are hiding in the corner hoping it will all go away. First of all fools, the United States is at war! We are fighting for our survival, and anyone that does not believe that won't be around too long when the terrorists come aknocking! And, they will come. So, if you conservative folks want some smart advice, stop cringing in the corner. This attempt, just like all the others to bring GW Bush down will fail. I am disgusted with all of you. You had a golden opportunity to destroy Hillary Clinton, by going out and laying twenty bucks down to buy Ann Coulter's book, "Treason" and you couldn't even pull that off. Shoot, with the millions of conservatives in the USA, we could have given Annie a couple of million books worth of sales and destroyed Hillary in the process. Now, Ann is doing a great job, but as far as you folks are concerned, you are all fair weather conservatives. I'm an old dude, so my time is almost up, but I can assure you, friends, if the lefties get their way, you won't want to live in the America they will bring to you! You still have time to show your backbone! Do it by standing up to this BS from the Democrat traitors that caused 911 and get your butts out and buy Ann Coulter's book right now! For goodness sake, there are American boys and girls dying every day so you can sleep soundly tonight. Courage and fortitude is what's needed now, not the wringing of hands by weak sisters that let some idiot liberal media fool twist you the wrong way!

Over here! Now CBS has picked up on the bogus story. Hard for me to fathom this all came from Thompson. I smell a planted story here that Thompson ran with and others are following suit.

Note that Tenant said he had no knowledge -- this smells!

What is that supposed to achieve? Are guys supposed to use it as a jock strap lest there is terroist attack?

Sorry. I never really considered myself homophobic, but I draw the line having Ann Coulter that close.

A way of saving the country is to purchase Ann Coulter's book?

That's really all this guy is thinking about? The pResident is accused of lying to go to war, and instead of thinking about the TROOPS put in danger, he's thinking about Ann Coulter.

What a creep!

Anyway, probably another "K" Street regular, writing this stuff in hopes of getting the troops to rally around the criminal fraud who thinks he's a president.

Its beginning to unravel for Bush and the others who to put it politely tried toi deceive the American public. Wathc the polls in the next few weeks. Even O-Reilly said today the administration needs to be forthcoming, quotes and FNC reporter as saying this is the most secretive administrayion ever and warns Bush's re-election could be in trouble with all the info coming out and the growing conflict in Iraq.

40. Funny that they think...
...finding that someone has any remote connection to the DNC gives them a "get out of jail free" card as far as having to listen to them.

You wonder if some Republican came out about anything like this, if they'd accuse him of being a double agent for the DNC.

At that rate, false WMD evidence or not, they're never gonna find out for themselves.

I wonder if FreeRepublic is gonna fall apart because of this, or if the first few dissenters will get shouted down and leave/stay silent and things will go on with Bush* support as they have been.

Remember, CBS is the one who broke the story "BUSH KNEW" about 9/11!! Now they break the story that "BUSH KNEW" about faulty intelligence. This administration official source came right from the left wing, Clinton-infested State Dept or CIA. You will NEVER convince me that Bush deliberately mislead the country on purpose. This is a nothing, Democrap-liberal anti-war media trashing of the Prez. These thugs are frustrated because there had been no scandal in the administration & they are trying to make one. We all need to stay on our toes & stand up & be heard or these mean spirited creeps will run all over us. We cannot depend on the Senate RINOS>

Can't stand the site so I ask an obvious question: Has it occured to any of those Neanderthals that maybe their guy is a bigger liar and threath to our nation than the actually elected President they hated so much?

I do not get why conservatives love Bush so much, that they are willing to excuse him anything including lying in the SOTU. True conservatives believe in smaller government (Hmmm, don't see that from Chimpy) and an emphasis on personal responsibility (definitely gone missing thistime around).

Lying the SOTUissomuch moreserious than lying about a blowjob. These morons seem to think lying is just fine as long as their guy is doing it.

38. Bear in mind ...
Not all conservatives necessarily do "love Bush". Some lean more libertarian and get as worried about things like USA-PATRIOT as DUdes would. Others have more pragmatic problems with the danger he poses to the conservative cause -- even if you're evil, you can have problems with someone being incompetently evil.

But you won't find them on Free Republic (as I understand it -- I don't have the stomach to actually visit the place) because the Power That Be doesn't tolerate criticism of the administration even from conservatives -- the site has to present a united front of conservative Republican infallibility. And so right now, you're seeing a snapshot of the conservative community that's been winnowed down to the most trusting, most accepting, least questioning dittoheads and wingnuts. Kind of devolution in action, I guess.

Your aren't going to see any lengthy anti-Bush diatribes because that isn't what FreeRepublic is about. What to watch for is the 'variety' of posters. How many people aren't posting about Bush anymore? That is the true measure of their disgust with Bush.

29. I now see the discontinuity between our side and theirs.

The link to FreeRepublic is actually a discontinuity in the time-space continuum, and we are really reading the thoughts of those people in an alternate universe in which the physical laws are the opposite from ours, and therefore it is not possible for us to understand their thought processes.

So if you don't understand what they are talking about, just know that it's not your fault.

I, for one, don't think it was an aciident that the hijackers were Saudi. I think Bin Laden formed a relationship with Saddam (they both hate the house of Saud). And used Saudi terrorists to create a schism with Us and the Saudis. The sanctions against Saddam were coming to an end and Saddam thought we would (like we have in the past) not see the hidden players and if we did would be bogged down in Afghanistan (a place where the Soviets lost theor empire, where "softies" like us (esp. due to the fractious post 2000 election)would never tread. And he calculated wrong. Then he put all his eggs in the Euroweenies and our friends on the Left, and he calculated wrong. Now the global Left seeks to discredit a successful war and Saddam laughs ( and perspires) in a safe house in Sunni contolled Iraq or Syria or France. And the question, "What did the President know and when did he know it?" is coming to a tv screen near you. The same Left that loves Fidel. And the Right is weary, we are all a bunch of what Bill Clinton put his cigar in. And I exempt myself from that category, who will join me?

51. No big deal...
Those people have cognitive dissonance. It doesn't matter how much evidence you put in front of them, they'll only believe what fits w/in the boundaries of their established belief system.

There are a number of posts there that refer to Clinton refusing to accept bin Laden! None of them understand, or have read their own rightwing sources that clearly point out the Sudanese offered to arrest bin Laden and send him to Saudi Arabia, not the U.S., and the FBI advised Clinton that we didn't have enough hardcore evidence to indict him on our own.

While they decry our intelligence agencies ineptitude now, with regard to the Niger papers, and deny Bush's culpability, I am certain that even if they acknowledged the FBI's adviso to Clinton then, they'd circumvolute their way into placing the blame solely on him and mention nothing about the intelligence he was given.
