Norm Coleman expected on the Daily Show!
Will John corner Norm as a flip-flopper and a carpetbagger?

1. And a weasel and a Repug party slut.
Norm Coleman's lips are permanently fused to Chimpy's buttocks.

What's sad is that he is sitting in Senator Wellstone's chair. I was hoping Jon would mention Paul.

5. Geez, I hope this guy makes a whole bunch of TV appearances...
what a complete lame-o.

When Jon Stewart asked about * loyalty oaths, he waved his hands in front of him and said, "I'm not signing anything!" Wow. Way to support your guy.

7. Coleman knows...
...he's a whore for the $$$. Jon asked him several questions where he was obviously made uncomfortable. The loyalty oath, the attack ads, but then he tries the talking points. What a shit.

10. Here's Norm
1. luke warm applause
2. He turned 55 today :(

3. thanks for bringing the convention to New York, we weren't much of a target;

4. he was a democrat in new york, but became a republican in minnesota;

5. John: would we call this a flip flop?

6. John: in New Mexico they had to sign a pledge to see the vice president, is that true?

7. Norm: not true

8. John: how about Alan Keyes?

9. Norm: The majority party has to have a broad perspective.

10. John: Will Alan Keyes talk crazy talk?

11. Norm: I was a part of the rapid response team in Boston

12. John: Dick Cheney on "sensitive."

13. Norm: we need to talk about leadership, its not about Viet Nam, its not about the
dresses that the wives wear

Observation: Norm was giddy, having fun. John just kidded with him, didn't try to pin him down. I think that Norm pre-empted him on some of the topics. Norm kept dancing and giggling.

11. John was very polite and decent to him
But he still managed to get in a shot about flip-flopping. And Coleman still managed to get a shot in about Kerry not attending Senate Intelligence Committee meetings.

Favorite Exchange :

John: "I'd like to thank you for coming to New York and once again making us a target.' (it was nicer than that)
Coleman: (Lauging): "Well, we're going to leave a little money on the table afterwards."
John: "Just remember to treat us like a lady."

John Stewart is a class act. I heart him!

15. Remember, if you want it to last you have to drive a stake into the chest
Otherwise, it'll just keep coming back and sucking the nation's lifeblood.

17. Jon did call it a flip flop - when Coleman said he was a conservative
Democrat and changed parties in 1996.

Coleman opened with saying he was a jewish kid from Brooklyn - not much applause, Jon made a joke.

Coleman said honest debate is important - blahblahblah

I can't believe it but he's the chair of the RNC convention. They're trying to get his face on the tube as much as possible - he's their telegenic pick.
