Tom DeLay hammered at his own reception! (Twice in one night!)
Tom "The Hammer" DeLay gets hammered in Clear Lake.

What an embarrassment for Tom DeLay. After sending 7500 invitations paid for by the University of Houston, for a reception honoring Tom DeLay, less than 100 attended, 50 of which were staff or worked at the university.

Outside in the hot sun were 150 enthusiastic protestors changing "Don't DeLay. Indict today!" and "Tom DeLay has got to go". Three times as many protested Delay than those that honored him.

Also, only 2 elected officials from the city of Houston attended, no NASA employees or management, or any other type of dignitary.

A counter protest consisting of 6 (yes, six) protestors, 2 of them were younger than 8 years old, was hastily convened close to the 150 protesters against DeLay. The 2 young children kept busy by building a fort with the 25 or so signs that were to be held by other protesters that didnt show up.

On the inside there were 3 large tables filled with food for 400-500 people that was left untouched. Name tags of about 100 people were left on the table, from those who didn't bother to attend after making reservations.

And DeLay only spoke for about 3 minutes including taking time to address students who were distrubing his speech by singing.

This was to be an event to "introduce DeLay to his new district" according to an email sent from the University. Many believed this was a misuse of state funds and will be filing a complaint tomorrow in Austin.

Instead it turned out to be an embarrassment for DeLay. He later went to Deer Park where again there were more protestors than those attending the event. Another embarrassment.

Pictures coming soon.

16. That Was Good; This Oldie-But-Goodie Shows DeLay's No Stranger to Hecklers
Well, there was one African American male who was introduced as an expert but he sat in the audience. When the womenfolks started asking questions that the fluffy white boys couldn’t answer, Tom brought the African American male on stage. When he didn’t snap-to as Tom has come to expect from people who don’t want to get their heads bitten off, Tom snarled at him, “Answer me! Answer me!” The crowd got ugly. They booed Tom’s little temper tantrum. Well, not all of them did. Some chose to do that thing where you shake your hand from the wrist and make that “woooooo” sound like you’re pretending to be scared when you’re not scared at all but you’re making fun of a short little guy who’s trying to be a scary bully to impress the girls but he’s not impressing anybody at all especially the girls. I personally like that move a lot.

All in all, The Hammer got nailed by a bunch of wimmen. He only had one answer and he kept giving it over and over. They weren’t buying it. Tom rolled his eyes and sighed dramatically so many times that even a twelve-year old girl would be impressed with his stamina. The man is a drama queen, plain and simple. He’s lost it.

I guess the best part was when the teachers suggested that maybe the economy could use some help. Tom was shocked, shocked I tell you. He puffed himself up like a little banty rooster prissed, “Well, I don’t know what world you live in but this economy has never been better ……” I didn’t hear the rest because people were howling with laughter. I mean, really howling.

20. Democrat Richard Morrison is taking on Tom DeLay in the election.
He has only a small chance to win DeLay's Congressional seat, but if you admire his guts, check out his website at:

33. Even if bush manages to steal the presidency
this is good news. Makes me think democrats can take back control of the house and senate.

I don't think they have the capability right now to steal elections in every state.
