5. well it's not like CNN gives me a huge alternative these days

Anytime a candidate has a platform to discuss what he/she believes, they have the opportunity to influence potential voters. (duh)

I would rather have candidates on shows (whether it's a comedy show or a news show) than unimportant mouthpieces on either side yelling and screaming at each other for "entertainment" value (Crossfire, Hardball, Hannity and colmes, etc)
