What Kind of Dirt Does Anyone Have on J. D. Hayworth?
Moronic Republican Congressman from Arizona. He was just on Sean Hannity's radio pukefest, bashing John Kerry.

6. I know he's a chickenhawk.
found this:

"Hayworth appeared with officials from Tempe, Ariz.-based ArmorWorks, which just received a contract to supply the Army with 1,500 armor kits for the all-terrain vehicle. To illustrate the need, Hayworth told of his trip to Iraq a month ago, when he witnessed an Arizona guardsman fashioning armor himself out of scrap metal.

But some on hand were quick to criticize the event. A broadcast reporter asked his cameraman if he had gotten a shot of Hayworth behind the gun of the Humvee, to which the cameraman replied, “Of this guy who never served a day in the service? Yeah, I got it.”..."

18. I recently got a request for help about a Hayworth visit to a plant here
in AZ and the guy wanted to know what to do about it. I told him there was little to do because of the Right To Work Law.

8. I despise him.
He reminds me of Rush, all smiles and obsequiousness. Behind that pig smile lies rot, filth and slime. The kind of Americans who would elect him would believe all the swift boat liars.

9. He was a former sportscaster
I don't think he was much involved with politics before he got in in 1994 (although i wasn't in AZ before then so I could be wrong)

He seems like another of the "failed upward" types.

12. During Hayworth's TelePrompTer-reading days in Greenville...
I ran into him a couple of times. While he never did anything as gauche as crotch-grabbing, the smiling JD always seemed just a little too fascinated. Ask around, I'm sure there are other stories in the area.

14. i know jd. we worked together on the john anderson campaign in 80 at NCSU
his antics in the anderson campaign that summer-fall cost us a lot of support on campus and in the community at large. as soon as he opened his mouth he turned off people with is vulgar and agressive rhetoric against carter. i remember that the most, because he was a kid of 21 or so in '80 using language i have only seen by the likes of limpbaugh 15 years later.

he is, was, and always will be a completely dishonest person.

he is however, ambitious as lucifer and planned his career exactly as it has unfolded. his next step is to run for senate, then a potential vp slot in 2008 or 2012 and a run for president in 2016.

jd and i smoked some weed together and drank some beers, he was always bombastic, self centered and willing to lie at the drop of a hat to make himself look better.

i consider him a dangerous man who would make nixon look like gandhi.

25. Rule 1 in politics...
...and this was actually one reason I supported Dean in the primary:

If you want to get elected President, don't run for the Senate. Only three Senators (Nixon, Kennedy, and someone in the 19th century) have ever become President, except for through the death of an incumbent President. And I'd almost discount Nixon, because he put SIXTEEN years between his presidential run and his Senate seat.

I'm really afraid that Bush has Kerry leaning the wrong way with the focus on Nam. Kerry hasn't defined his senate record at all, and I would expect Bush to do it for him in the convention. And that's why being a Senator makes it tough to run for President: It's so easy for your opposition to characterize votes in an unfavoring light, and make you have to go on the defensive on each vote.

15. This Ass-Clown Represents My District...
Edited on Wed Aug-25-04 11:04 PM by AzDar
I have been sending this tool nasty letters and e-mails since he took office. I disagree with literally EVERY decision he has made as a Congressman. Before somehow getting himself elected to the House, he was a half-literate, second-rate blowhard sportscaster in Phoenix.
The only juicy tidbit I can think of is that he recently had gastric-bypass surgery to lose weight, (a lot, by the way; the dumb ass has the largest HEAD I've ever seen... it's like 3 times the size of the average human head!) and I suspect it was on the taxpayer's dime.
So, if this is true, we're essentially picking up the tab because this fool can't control his gluttony.

24. that's part of their strategy..
Wear people down.... make sure they're too preoccupied with the more prosaic things (like food on the table) to worry about things like politics and casting one's vote.
