Here's what Kerry said about Big Dog at a rally in Ohio
Edited on Fri Sep-03-04 01:24 PM by lancdem
He's going to be fine," Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said at a rally in Newark, Ohio.
"But every single one of us wants to extend to him our best wishes, our prayers and our thoughts and I want you all to let a cheer out and clap that he can hear all the way to New York," Kerry said to cheers.

Clinton had been expected to campaign extensively for Kerry. (I hope he still can!)

1. Campaigning??????
If he attempts such a schedule I hope Hillary handcuffs him to the bed.

Multiple bypass and you want him running all over eating mystery meat?

3. I have several friends who have had triple or
quad bypass surgery, the average recovery time is 6 to 8 weeks. I doubt he'll be doing much campaigning :(

4. A 4 vessel bypass is no walk in the park
He will be prevented from doing much for about 6 weeks. I'm afraid any campaigning he does is going to have to be via video.

By the time he's discharged (typically, 4 or 5 days postop), he'll be off oxygen, on oral pain medication, able to walk a minimum of 300 feet, something he's going to have to increase every day.

He's reasonably young and in good shape. He'll bounce back from this pretty quickly, but he's still going to be a hurtin' buckaroo for the next few weeks.

5. Satellite hookups from his NY home late in the campaign would be helpful.
