Republicans aren't careful about quality; they don't like to spend time thinking about details, etc. Get a mailing list of George W. Bush voters, and you have a ready-made list of sucker leads for selling any crap product your imagination can create.

That may explain some of the rise of Republicanism as a sort of me-first, get-one-of-everything materialism. They are the party of Mammon. They miss all of the important things in life, but so what? Every ad in every medium encourages them to be what they are.

Republicans are the yin to the Madison Avenue yang.

2. Not really, but some can spend rather recklessly at times for status
in my experience. Not that it really matters to me personally. Let them suck up the worlds resources being selfish - not something I can control.

3. a lot of
the ones I know are CHEAP. We must know a different class of Republicans. You know the kind of people that eat fast food all the time but won't spend the money on a NICE restaurant. (And if they do go out they won't tip) Those are the kind of Republicans that I know. Definitely not big spenders. Of course--the fundamentalism protestant work ethic is too save not spend cause if you are RICH it means god loves you right? I think Democrats are a lot more generous. But if could just be the ones I know.
