Why Republicans are "pro-business, (handouts)" (NOT just "cheap labor")
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 03:06 PM by Kanzeon
But "cheap labor" is an obvious corollary to my hypothesis, which simply stated is:

Because they can't run businesses.

Proof? Look at Enron, Halliburton, W. A. Harriman, Harken, Arbusto and Sinclair Broadcasting (check out their rosy outlook here: http://cnnfn.investor.reuters.com/ReportDetails.aspx?sid=1&ticker=SBGI.O&ta%20get=%2f%2fadvancedsearch&docid=20582667 ).

They are basically incompetent at running a business on the up-and-up, so they want a government hand-out.

1. Please do not confuse real business
which is the lifeblood of a nation, with Big Business, which is another form of cancer.

3. that's why I put "pro-business" in quotes...
I agree, there's many, many legit businesses, but the ones that try to push goverment regulation and privileges are those that can't succeed otherwise.

4. Republicans are "pro business-handouts
from taxpayers". I don't understand why Dems always choose to use the truncated version of the phrase.
