Gotta be a DUPE! Lou Dobbs CREAMED Dennis Miller tonight.
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 11:12 PM by JanMichael
It was earlier this evening but Lou was on Miller's "show" and he left the master of idiotic cliches stunned.

The last statement by the super bullshit artist was, and I quote, "Hug Me?"

Dobbs only missed one point....Those below the now disputable "Middle Class", they're geting f'ed even worse than the outsourced engineers and programmers.

At the old man is almost a Populist!

3. Dennis was being glib about outsourcing. Dobbs remained calm...
...clear and resolute.

It made Dennis look retarded (No offense intended to the truly retarded, it's just that the goofy smile of Dennis made me think that he was needing some help) with his jokes about shitty jobs.

2. Sometimes I can't..
..tell whose side Dobbs is on.

He takes "populist" positions that are sometimes contrary to both parties, sometimes especially contrary to Republican policies, but he seems to be negative about Kerry more often when directly referencing the candidates. I still get the feeling he's more for Bush than Kerry.

Anyone agree/disagree?

4. He's like I was a few years ago. I believed the economists.
Then I realized what a crock o' shit that my beliefs were buying.

First I got all protectionist over my economic group the "middle class". Then I realized how many other people were getting fucked, then I went to the far far far Left.

Lou is almost there....baby steps:-)

5. Lou seems to be really close to that ficticious MIDDLE.
He's relentlessly against corporate greed and outsourcing, and dishonesty. He also doesn't believe in too much give away by govt.

I can't remember who said this, but some journalist said "what I strive for is that people will read what I write, and not be sure what my politics is, who I'm for nor who I'm against."

I think that's one of Lou's attributes.

8. He reminds me of the type of republican that's in "It Can't Happen...
...Here"

Ultimately it's the fictional republican leader that leads the counter-fascist revolution toward what's descibed as a "Cooperative Commonwealth'.

Which is simalar to what I strive for.

7. Please don't take this wrong...
...but there lots of people who don't like either of the "frat brothers". They are very frustrated because they view this race as "me too". There are former bush supporters here in East Texas who will vote for third party candidates as a result. No, it won't change how Texas electoral votes will be cast but they figure it will send some kind of message somewhere. BTW, my vote for JK is assured and will be done on Saturday. Sure hope he wins.

12. Yeah, he's got me confused, but on this issue of outsourcing, I
think he's thought it through and sees the economic stupidity of it and what it will do for our nation's economy in the long run.

16. I disagree; I think he favors Kerry
But he is objective and noncommital. He has become one of my favorites. After the debates, I started realizing how slanted towards Bush most of cable news is---I bought the lie that it was biased toward the liberal side, except for the obvious faux noose. But now, some of my favs are no more--I can barely stand Aaron Brown, and I used to adore him. Lou and Olberman, and I've just started watching Keith consistently for about i month. Don't know about Anderson Cooper.

14. i believe lou is one who might
secretly vote for Kerry, along with Buchanan, scarborough, and a few other talking heads. some of the smarter ones seem repulsed by the neocons in general and * in particular.

17. Dennis Miller's comedy style seems to be:
1. show photo of coelocanth
2. show photo of pineapple
3. show photo of Martha Stewart
4. slap thighs and have a veritabl fit of laughing

18. Dennis Miller must look at the success of his old buddy Jon Stewart...
and compare the choices either of them made so long ago about where to take their careers: whether to be a shining light of witty truth or a shameless whore for the greedy and dumb. Miller, to quote the old Knight in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", "chose poorly".

I'm sure he must ponder this, and maybe he even weeps. Every addict does, eventually.

21. Don Johnson look?
I think you meant more Boxcar Willie (ca. 1965). And I agree, it just doesn't work without the torn-up fishing hat with all the buttons.
