There has got to be someone out there that can do the same. I just haven't seen that person yet.

4. It is not that easy:
In 1993: the debt was 67% of the GDP after 12 years of GOP deficit spending.
In 2004: the debt is 70% of the GDP after 4 years of GOP deficit spending.

Reagan/Bush took 12 years to get us in this place, and Bush II took only 4 years. Bush will have sizable deficits throughout his second term. (80%+ of the GDP)

In 1993: America was trusted and Respected in the World, in 2004, we are Not.

6. Reagan had checks and balances, Republicans didn't control
the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government. That's not the case now, they control all of it.

7. Obama? McDermott? Either would be great!
And I think that trying to emulate Clinton is part of the problem. Part of what made Clinton work was his personal charisma. Kerry didn't have it (hardly anyone does), so he tried to emulate it by being so moderate that no one could tell what he stood for (I think that was part of Gore's problem as well. We need a visionary (e.g., RFK), not a centrist.

Let's be great Dems, not second rate Republicans.

8. Clinton was a genius.
A point that many people seem to forget because of his folksy manner.

11. Actually Clinton started the rightward tilt moving....
"end of big government", triangulation.etc. No, I don't endorse that at all. We need a left wing Barry Goldwater
