Maureen Dowd challenges Zell Miller to a duel
SEN. Zell Miller (D- Traitorous Bastard) laced into New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd yesterday on the "Imus in the Morning" radio show, saying, "The more Maureen Loud gets on 'Meet the Press' and writes those col umns, the redder these states get. I mean, they don't want some high brow hussy from New York City explaining to them that they're id iots and telling them that they're stupid." Miller also suggested "that red-headed woman at the New York Times" should not mock anyone's religion: "You can see horns just sprouting up through that Technicolor hair." Dowd responds: "I'm not a highbrow hussy from New York. I'm a highbrow hussy from Washington. Senator, pistols or swords?"

19. Blue Dog Democrat
LBJ lost him when he signed the Civil Rights Act.

Plus, he's from the Appalachian Mountains, just a little further south than me. God, Guns, Gays......that's the problems. They love their government pork, just don't mess with their 3 G's.

If you want the South back, let Bush reinstate the draft. Either that, or a Great Depression that requires government action. OR, we could do about 30 years worth of grassroots work, take back the school boards, city councils...or is that too much work?

21. It's a right-wing pile-on
I'm sure this was already mentioned, but normally moderate NM Senator Alan Simpson said the same thing to Bill Maher the other day.

Apparently when you "lose" an election, you lose your right to make jokes as well.

25. No, his mention of NY was
very deliberate. Y'all should have been kinder to Masta Bush when he had his convention in NY.

Now you are in the Prez's Taxachuettes column.

Expect more hate attacks from Washington D. C.

red state taking care of business. I'm tired of hearing folks say that the south isn't stupid. yes it is, I live in the south, and I know plenty of okie's that believe in god, family, and bible, just as long as it doesn't get in the way of their fun.

11. Someone posted a thread a while back speculating ol' Zell...
... might be in line for U.S. secretary of State.

I don't know whether there's any truth to that, but I would love love LOVE to see it become reality.

Could you imagine? Ambassador nutbar, the diplomatic face of America? It would really just complete the whole "theater of the absurd" we're living in now. :D

"explaining to them that they're id iots and telling them that they're stupid." Zell Miller

OK Zell then I will do it for her. The people in the red states who voted for Bush are idiots. Do you know why? Because they have underwritten my draconian tax-breaks (and the rest in the blue states) on their blue collar backs. The moralists in the red states have broken it, now they can buy it.

She attacked the Clintons just as visciously as she's attacking Bush. Now that the Liberals have been vanquished, all of these "moderates" will find out just how ugly these red staters can be.

And Zell is a raving lunitic. I'm surprised she even responded to his venom.

You go girl! I would drop everything right now to be your second in the duel.

Keep up the good fight!

Cheers!

31. Zell gets my vote on this one.
Dowd never says anything useful until it's too late; she's a gross liar; and her columns are primarily about making her look smart and all politicians look dumb. That the Times runs her garbage is an embarrassment to the paper.

They should give her another face lift as a going away present and force her to retire.
