Cleveland Rocks!!! Company Boycotting Bushies.

***This one sure made my day.***

Here is the full text of half page ad the D.H. Ellison Co. ran in the latest edition of the Cleveland Free Times:

"Dear Friends and Associates:

As a result of the recent elections we are reviewing all of our business relationships. We are asking for your cooperation and help.

Many of you may be familiar with our committment to peace and non-violence, anti-nuclearism, ecology, and social justice. If you are, you will understand the importance that these moral values hold for us and how these values are betrayed by the extremist policies and candidates recently empowered by the electorate of our nation and our state.

Turning our commitment to these values into tangible resistance becomes equally important given the overwhelming influence of the propaganda machines of corporatism and organized religious cults.

After careful consideration and with understanding of the possible consequences, our decision is to limit commerce with supporters of the current administration and their fear-mongering, radical right-wing agenda.

While we as Americans are free to speak and hold our beliefs, we are also free to choose with whom we are willing to trade.

It is our intention to actively direct as much of our business away from the right wing as possible. At the same time, we welcome the opportunity to establish new relationships with progressively minded interests.

Please join us in these efforts.

D.H. Ellison"

(Below the signature is a big peace sign)

I'm sorry there is no link since they do not show the print ads online.
But here is a description of the company per their own website:

"The D. H. Ellison Co. is a full service architectural practice specializing in traditional architecture based on historical precedents. Projects are designed holistically conceiving the interior space, exterior form, and details simultaneously. We engage in a limited number of projects each year to which focused attention is given. The firm also offers core consultative services on questions of design, detail, style, scale, and proportion to owners and other design professionals. Mr. Ellison welcomes inquiries from prospective clients who seek exceptional quality of design and craftsmanship.

The D. H. Ellison Co. was formed in 1998. Prior to this, David Ellison was employed in the Cleveland architectural office of Anthony Paskevich, AIA. He received his formal architectural training from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and the Institute of Classical Architecture in New York City."

2. Well said, Mr. Ellison!
That is the bravest, most noble action by a U.S. business that I have ever seen. I wish you a prosperous and successful New Year.
