Can someone condense these thoughts into a bumper sticker?
Seeing as most people's attention is lost after 8 words. In eight works or less...please edit....
My thoughts on what has happened to our country.

The Religious Right knew that alone they could not get their agenda for a Theocracy put through.

The Neocons knew that their Plans for a New American Century (PNAC) wouldn't fly-even Bush I shot them down.

The Corporations saw that bribing politicians to vote their way wasn't enough. They needed to put their guys in decision making positions, i.e. the energy companies writing energy policy, Ken Lay choosing the head of the SEC, "scientist" who do not believe in science on the Science Advisory Board, etc.

So they devised a plan, call it a conspiracy if you want, I call it a strategy. A brilliant, effective and successful strategy. And GWB finally found what he is perfectly suited to do. The perfect candidate. A corporate, religious nut, dimwitted and delusional enough to think they he is called by the Lord and therefore his agenda must be the correct one. A hater of facts.

And we are now seeing the results of their brilliant strategy. With the help of their corp. media whores and their Diebold friends, a small minority of the populous have taken over our country.

Here comes the outlawing of abortions, judges who will always rule in favor of corporations. Policies that favor corp. and the Christian fundamentalists and war without end.

Congrats to you band of hoodlums, liars and murderous thieves you have successfully pulled off the worlds greatest con job.

Jesus: "I did not vote for Dubya."

On edit, a variant of this might be:

Jesus: "Bush doesn't listen to me, either."

a take-off on the "abortion stops a beating heart." Only a repuke would cry for the unborn, but whoop and holler at the massive bombing campaigns wiping out whole communities.

20. Barabbas Had a Mandate - Supported by Chief Priests
That's two (2) four word slogans. The Christians will know what you are talking about, and it will piss them off for sure.

It's a Biblical reference of an interesting precedent of the crowds choosing the bad guy.

At the trial of Jesus as reported in the Gospels, there came a time when Pilate was to honor a custom of pardoning and releasing a prisoner on death row. Pilate was feeling uncomfortable about executing Jesus, whom he saw as an innocent man. So he dredged up the most despicable criminal he could find - a well known murderer named Barabbas. Then he asked the crowds who they would like to have released - Jesus or Barabbas. The crowds choose to release Barabbas.

That story is an interesting enough implication of the stupidity of crowds, but it does not end there. It turns out the crowds made their choice at the direction of the 'Chief Priests' and 'Elders' - the religious leaders of the time - who had ‘stirred them up to choose Barabbas’!

Imagine that, religious leaders stirring up people to select a known criminal and causing them to give him a mandate for his re-elec…er, release. Wonders never cease!

Mark 6:6-9
6. Now it was the custom at the Feast to release a prisoner whom the people requested.
7. A man called Barabbas was in prison with the insurrectionists who had committed murder in the uprising.
8. The crowd came up and asked Pilate to do for them what he usually did.
9. "Do you want me to release to you the king of the Jews?" asked Pilate,
10. knowing it was out of envy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him.
11. But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release Barabbas instead.
