Everyone needs to CALL THEIR CONGRESSMAN AND SENATORS TOMORROW!
Call them and tell them NO MORE MONEY FOR HALLIBURTON, THE OIL COMPANIES, AND SHRUB'S OTHER BUDDIES! Tell them to GET US THE FUCK OUT OF FUCKING IRAQ NOW! If they voted for the Resolution, let 'em have it, and tell them "I told you so!" Ask them how in the fuck they can even THINK about a pay raise for themselves when the country is bleeding jobs, there are no jobs to be found, people's pensions are fucked up (what little is left of them) and WE HAVE NO MORE MONEY TO GIVE FOR SHRUB'S IMPERIALISTIC AMBITIONS! Tell them that THEY can do all of the fucking sacrificing that they and Shrub love to yammer on and on about, we've done enough! Tell them you ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT SUPPORT ONE MORE PENNY FOR THIS NAZI MADMAN'S ADVENTURES! Tell them to bring our servicemen and women home NOW and to quit allowing Shrub to so cavalierly use them as pawns in his own little games and to further his ambition and gratify his ego! Tell them that if they don't do ALL of this, you will do your goddamnedness to get them the hell out of their cushy little offices next year! EVERYONE needs to do this TOMORROW, and get as many people as you can to join you! We must flood their switchboards with calls, their computers with emails, and their fax machines with faxes!

As you have probably guessed by now, I am so fucking angry I can hardly see straight! This Dr. Strangelove madman is not only destroying and trashing this great country, he's being allowed to do so by OUR OWN REPRESENTATIVES! People are losing jobs and retirement pensions left and right, our health care system is a mess, with less and less people even having access and unable to pay for what they can access, our energy system is outdated and overloaded, our roads are crumbling, our schools are sinking, the rich are getting theirs while sending everyone else to hell and laughing about it and this clueless hopeless useless worthless heartless dickless fascist good-for-nothing SOB fucking piece of shit wants 87 BILLION FOR FUCKING IRAQ! I DON'T FUCKING THINK SO! Hey, Shrub, Congress, Senate-REMEMBER US?

3. I will, even though 2 are a lost cause
Mark Dayton is definately work contacting, but when Bush tells Normie to jump, he replies "how high?" And except for No Child Left Behind and GOP perscription drug plans, Gil Gutknect wouldn't dare do anything that goes against the neocon agenda.

10. I emailed Mark as soon as the speech was over
(it will no doubt be obvious to the staffer who reads the email that I was about to have a stroke.)

I urged him to vote no on the bill and suggested he add an amendment to it that repeals Bush*'s tax cuts. Let the people benefitting from this extravaganza pay for it.

I'm not even going to bother with that weasel Coleman or my congressman, Jim Ramstadt (who tries to pass himself off as a moderate but has sure been voting the party line).

14. Good for you!
Let us know if you hear anything from his office. I sure feel sorry for you people in Minnesota, having to deal with that opportunistic fuckhead Coleman, who's only in office because of Wellstone's death and he KNOWS it! Can you just imagine what Wellstone's reaction would have been? GOD, I miss him! SIGH.

16. I've been thinking about Wellstone all day
and wondering what he would be saying about this. A year ago tomorrow there was a DFL picnic I attended and it was the last time I got to see him and say a few words to him (they were about Iraq).

4. Forget the vote, just make the call
If your Congressman is a Democrat and voted yes, skip it. Just make your point about how badly this is all going, how this Administration planned it so badly, how the money is going to big corporations more than to the soldiers or the Iraqi people, and that we've got to turn this over to the UN completely. Don't put them on the spot about the vote, nothing will get accomplished that way. Let them all hammer Bush on this war so we can help Iraq and get rid of this whistle-ass.

6. Good idea!
You're right, that would be better and more on point. And it wouldn't make them immediately defensive, either.

I am going to bring that up when I call. Schools, roads, etc for Iraq? What about the good ol' USA?

That is, I admit, REALLY hard to swallow, it was almost as if Shrub didn't even realize that we actually exist!

Uh, on second thought, maybe he doesn't!

12. But if there are enough angry people contacting them,
and they realize that they may possibly be in danger of losing their comfy, cozy, cushy little offices, it just might wake them up!

20. All right, I cracked and emailed
both that weasel Coleman and Ramstad though I get so snide in my emails to them I'm sure their staffers trash the email before they get half way through them.

But you're right, we need to keep the pressure on, especially on Normie. I keep wondering if he'll go down with the ship or be one of the last rats off.

C'mon Minnesotans - let Normie know you're watching.

17. They better wake up
Get some of those quotes off MSNBC, the David Gergen ones where he likens this speech to the 'sinking ship' speeches of Nixon and Johnson. Tell them they better wake up and feel the icebergs or theyre going to go down with him. Try to sound like a Republican who just can't support this man who has no plans for anything. Maybe that'd work.

18. Betcha Wyden, Blumenauer, and DeFazio are already with us on this
Wu and Hooley, I'm not so sure. Worth contacting them to find out. Smith might just have enough of a conscience to say, "enough is e-fucking-nough", he's not a hardline repuke, and he knows something about fiscal mismanagement. Walden is a lost cause, I don't even bother with that lousy timber whore.

19. I never have to worry
about DeFazio and Wyden, but will call them just the same. Because I am going to call them all!

This is too friggen big to let slide. This needs to be a huge campaign to let our Congress people know we will not stand for it!

Does anyone know when this might be presented to Congress?
