Trickle-on Bushonomics: The Duh Factor!
After reading the following poll analysis from CBS News, I just want to collectively bitch-slap the American populace and give them a good old-fashioned "DUH! You fucking dumbasses!"

Yes, Virginia, there IS a link between tax cuts for the greedy and your slow economy. WHEN will you sheeple WAKE UP and witness once again the failure of trickle-on economics??

I love how the analysis says many people think Bush should be credited with "progress" with the tax cuts, then bitch about the economy and the LACK OF JOBS. Connect the dots, anyone??

Here it is:

-snip-

Tax cuts have been at the top of President George W. Bush's policy agenda since he took office, and over half of voters say the Administration has made at least some progress in reducing their taxes. Yet only 11 percent say the Administration made a lot of progress in lowering their tax bill - including just 19 percent of Republicans who think so - and a sizeable 40 percent think the Administration hasn't made much headway in cutting their taxes at all.

Most voters (55 percent) say the national economy is in bad shape, and less than half think the Administration is making much progress in improving it; 50 percent say the Administration is not making much progress, or none at all. And the Administration gets low marks on its efforts to create more jobs: 62 percent of voters say it has made either not much or no progress at all toward doing so. Among Democrats and Independents this sentiment slips further still, as 79 percent of Democrats and 68 percent of Independents don't see the Administration making progress. The issue of jobs is a pressing concern, as 41 percent of American voters say they're at least somewhat worried about a possible job loss in their household.

No matter their assessment of the economy, most voters see its condition as at least somewhat linked to the policies of the Bush Administration.

(my emphasis)

I should have put "Dean sucks" or "Kerry loves Bush", or maybe "Nader Michael Moore Dean Bible Atheist" in my title. :-)

2. the conclusion is clear
If 45% think the administration has only made "some" progress in reducing their taxes and 40% think Bush has made "no" progress in reducing their taxes, then obviously, we need another tax cut. Sound the trumpets. This time we will really cut taxes. I have just the plan. First, we create a new 9% tax bracket on the first $100 of taxable income. This will save every taxpayer $1. Then we will cut the top rate from 33% to 25%, on the important principle that no one should have to pay more than 25% of their income to the guviment. Finally we create the super income credit (or SIC for short) to balance the EIC. The SIC gives a $10,000 deduction for everyone who makes more than $100,000. There will be one SIC credit for every $100,000 of income so someone making a million would have $100,000 in credits. I am sure this is a plan which will have the support of all Republicans. If not, did I mention that it will save all taxpayers an average of $500 and will create 432 jobs? That's right, one per congressional district to collect all the campaign contributions from the rich people and corporations.
