Like father like son, the W has no choice but to RAISE TAXES
Edited on Mon Sep-08-03 01:48 AM by opihimoimoi
OH the Horror of it all. Raise Taxes??? Yup, no choice, defeciets too fucking large, over 500 Bil and no end in sight. Now the clown wants 87 more?? and the year after??? maybe 100 Bil?? and how many lives?? we gatta find a solution other than what these guys are serving us.

Bush is a one play coach. No Passing, no end runs, no triple op's, reverses are too complicated much less double reverses, its only running plays up the middle no less.

Now, the man is thinking, "I wonder if I being used??" "I said what they told me to say but the people still hate me??" "They told me the speech would bring cheers and flowers."

I wonder wonder who, who wrote the speech shrub gave...... Bwahahahahahahahahahah

With no way to go other than to raise taxes, the Bush2 will follow the Bush1...... down the drain, Bwahahahahahah

1. Nope....
He won't ever do that. He'll run bigger and bigger deficits. He's more like Reagan in that respect than his father.

3. But we will soon reach the point where the National Debt interest
payments will jeperdize the economy far worse than what it is now. Only way out, raise the damn tax to pay the war bill, or repeal the tax cut. Either way, its a tax increase.

9. you forget..
this is all part of the plan...during his (God forbid) 2nd administration, he will use the debt as an excuse to cut spending across the board on important social programs..gutting democrat unions and slashing the welfare rolls...reaganonomics to the third power. be afraid.

24. My two
"Terrorists in Iraq have attacked representatives of the civilized world and opposing them must be the cause of the civilized world. Members of the United Nations now have an opportunity, and the responsibility, to assume a broader role in assuring that Iraq becomes a free and democratic nation."

So if the UN doesn't help, they're cowards and allowing the civilized world to be attacked with no response. A sort of backhanded way of insulting UN members one more time.

And 'terrible' weapons. That one just drives me around the bend. TERRIBLE weapons. Where are all the mushroom clouds and massive deaths and radiation and chemicals and diseases they threatened? Now Saddam just had some 'terrible' weapons. This is a setup for the no WMD report by Kay. Instead, we're going to get a bunch of 'terrible' weapons like the rickety old flying machine and a handful of missiles; terrible, really really terrible.

4. No tax raise. The Chimp would have to admit he was wrong on his tax cuts.
He has never taken responsibility for anything that has gone wrong. The hypocrite has enough nerve to preach about personal accountability.

5. don't be silly!
How will the repugs come up with the $87B?

(wait for it....)

with tax cuts, of course!

This is all part of the "lose 40 lbs while eating jelly-donuts" diet plan, as applied to economics.

Offer void if you have a brain.

10. Tax reversal is for a second administration. Budget figures can be
massaged to minimize the debt for 14 months. Then only public outcry will overcome the original Grover Norquist/David Stockwell plan to squeeze public services below New Deal levels.

government that we're lacking at the moment.

20. I agree. I think he may just raise taxes.
Sen. Biden proposed that he "postpone" the tax-shifts to the wealthy. I think that Bush just might do it because that's the only politically viable action he can take.

23. Two thoughts
1. Biden can go fuck his traitorous self.

2. Shrub will be faced with a choice: raise taxes on the RICH, after REPEALING the last tax cut - or face a mob with torches coming to burn the White House down.

Unemployment makes the masses cranky. And they're way too smart to let the rich greedpigs get another handout.

Of course, this could be exactly what BushCo wants. After all, such an uprising lends itself well to martial law, no?
