1. JibJab had an animation some people thought was homophobic.

The second presidential election one made fun of the New Jersey governor guy and also implied that John Edwards was gay and had him bending over.

The election was coming up when it came out, and I thought the animation was harder on us than them, so I figured if I spread the idea that it could be seen as homophobic maybe they'd get rid of it.

I thought the first (and best) JibJab video "This Land" was way harder on Bush than Kerry. The satirical pokes at Kerry were all superficial, whereas they made fun of Bush for being a "right wing nutjob" who wants to destroy the planet!

Their humor is "bipartisan." WHY!?

Bush should be front and center satirized. This should be parody of his genius solo or with minor parts by all but his henchmen. Kerry has done nothing wrong and yet he comes off as 1/4 the idiot Bush monkey is... which is so off-the-mark I will condemn it.

nice and folksy, and his detractors as being bitter and mean is given so much airtime. The other cartoon bashed John Edwards for being gay. When Democrats get back power (2006), maybe we should use our legal powers to "harass" them. They will know that we mean business.

In this one they talk about him ruining the country in the next four years, they show how narrow his "victory" is, and allude to his illegitimate victories in 2000 AND 2004. They show the rest of the world's reaction to him being re-elected. They show the rich Wall Streeters being happy about tax breaks...I could go on. I think the video is clearly biased against Bush.

Some people prefer not to see that these guys and the South Park guys are doing their part to promote Bush and the right wing and put down Democrats.

Just because they don't say they hate Democrats or love Bush doesn't mean they aren't part of the movement helping Bush. There are different people that the right wing needs to appeal to and the Jib Jab guys and the Southpark guys are out there working to promote the right wing, just in a different way than Ralph Reed and Gingrich.

So many people on our side simply aren't willing to face the truth about certain things.

These guys are not on our side. Maybe they kiss up to Bush because he's in power, but whatever the reason, they are helping the right and hurting the left.

Perhaps it would be more helpful to assist people in the deconstruction of South Park and Jib Jab that you have engaged in, instead of simply telling people to "wake up".

You make very valid points - I think we would all benefit from this type of deconstruction.
