i've never seen it fail, when a repub gets in any type of embarassing scandal, they throw him to the sharks immediately. trent lott, newt gingrich, bob livingston, etc. and they'll turn on bush too, given enough time. i remember how i and millions of other loyal democrats supported Bill Clinton all the way, but repubs ain't built thataway.

3. This time it is different because
they know that when W goes down, they are going down with him. Few of them are interested in protecting frat boy, they are much more concerned about their own butts. Think Watergate on steroids. This isn't just hte WH this time, it's the whole world. This is going to be very messy and no one wants to be the first one to take their thumb out of the dam.

7. repubs
You are so right. It will have to start with House repubs. They are so in the pockets of the administration it might take some time, but I believe they see the handwriting on the wall. Only if it is to their advantage would they start impeachment proceedings. And I believe if it happens it will start with Tom Delay. He probably has presidential aspirations. He, and not Hastert really runs the House. The bottom line is truly saving their butts.

4. I disagree, in this case
Granted, they've done it before, but we're talking about their #1 guy here. I seriously doubt any of this will stick to Bush. The lie from the SOTU is already being spun by the pundits as a failure by the intelligence community. You can bet that's the way the Shrubya administration is going to spin it, too. IMO, the most that will come out of this is that a few people in the CIA may get the ax.

6. Ott on Fox
Ott, a former CIA Analyst, was just on Faux. He said the admin. knew this was false way before the SOTU. He pointed to Wilson's Feb. 02 trip to Niger and his findings that the paper was a forgery. He listed all the orgainizations that said it was fake leading up to the SOTU. It was a great interview -- then Faux at the end gave it the Faux spin -- intelligence failed. Yes, it did, but not Intelligence -- the intelligence of the adminstration failed! The question is who put that statement in there in the first place.

5. Isn't it Ironic
that a party of low life, hatemongering, scum liars could rationalize that one of their own could embarrass them.

8. I enjoyed that
But I have a problem.

How can we accept Impeachment when we do not recognize his court appointed Prez position?

Ah a conundrum to go with the irony!
