3. Tell us, how exactly
does the White House having ties to male prostitution play in freeperville? I don't have the intestinal fortitude to go there. Are freepers now endowed with the understanding of homosexuality as a natural occurence? Something that is neither shameful nor forbidden? Are they now pro-gay?
If so, then let us all praise Jeff Gannon for this sea change.

20. I don't really think that this story is really just about homosexuality.
What I read about the earlier male prostitution ring in the early 90s is that it was about to reveal bisexual practices in Washington, D.C. Like McGreevy in New Jersey. Married men who bonk men at work, and then go to their wives in the burbs at night. Say what you will, wrath has no fury as a woman scorned. Expect the security moms to come out in force and demand that this mess be investigated and cleaned up.

I don't by any stretch of the imagination, believe this is limited to the Republican party. However, the Republicans have more to answer to their constituency for their hypocrisies, than the Dems do.

Oh, you good ole boys and your secrets.

21. You've hit the nerve center
here. The Bushies can lie about their harm to the environment and their worthless education reforms. They can lie about fixing healthcare and social security. They can even lie about invading a country and costing thousands of lives.
But you just can't lie about sex. And McClellan has been crabwalking since this story broke. Gannon was a male prostitute (still illegal, right?) featured on many websites, naked, who was able to very quickly secure influence in the tightly controlled Bush White House.
This is going to hurt Bush. The other lying can be swept away.
But his usual following isn't going to let this go. It's sex, afterall. Not the deficit. And, it's gay sex. This is something the general Bush population understands. Distrust of gay people.
If it turns out Gannon had a boyfriend in the White House, Bush won't have enough teflon left to slide out from underneath this scandal.

D.C. Chapter to Hold Demonstration in Support of Jeff Gannon and the First Amendment, 2/18/05
Friday, February 18, 2005 | Kristinn

Posted on 02/18/2005 6:28:03 AM PST by kristinn

All FReepers and lurkers in good standing are invited to join the D.C. Chapter in our demonstration this evening. Details in the following press release:

DEMONSTRATION IN SUPPORT OF JEFF GANNON
&
THE FIRST AMENDMENT

WHEN: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2005, 6 P.M. TO 8 P.M.
WHERE: THE SIDEWALK BY MONICA’S GATE,
AKA THE NORTHWEST VISITORS ENTRANCE
THE WHITE HOUSE, 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVE., NW, WASHINGTON, D.C.

(Washington) The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic, an independent grassroots organization, will be holding a demonstration at the White House this evening in support of former Talon News White House Correspondent Jeff Gannon and the rights of other reporters to do their jobs without fear of being destroyed by the political establishment.

The group will also be bringing attention to several First Amendment-related issues pertaining to the current imbroglio. Among them are the unconstitutional efforts of Democratic congressmen to determine who is a reporter and efforts by the establishment media to shut out Internet-based news sites from having access to government press conferences.

Kristinn Taylor, Co-Leader of the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic, issued the following statement: “It is common knowledge that Jeff Gannon was singled out for personal destruction for the crime of asking a question of the President of the United States at a press conference that was insulting to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

“The Clintonista slime machine, led by former Clinton White House Chief of Staff John Podesta’s Media Matters for America, went into high gear and made an example of Mr. Gannon to any reporter who might dare to challenge Sen. Clinton’s credibility in her anticipated 2008 presidential candidacy.

“What was done to Mr. Gannon was the Clinton impeachement era Ellen Romesch strategy played out for all concerned parties to see. The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic will be out demonstrating for the rights of Mr. Gannon and all other reporters to exercise their rights without fear of personal destruction.”

<snip, rip, delouse, rinse, repeat>

Yeppers...they think "Jeffy" was done wrong by us evil "librul blogpeople" for asking questions at Press Conferences. Absolute denial. Total Hypocrisy. The more the reason I hope "Gannon" keeps giving us gifts that keep this story on the news and comedy shows.

As Olbermann said first "he's the gift that keeps giving".

12. You ought to post his photos from his escort sites.
Let them see him peeing in the toilet or one of his other posts! I betcha they haven't even gone to see how Jimmy-Jeff shows off for his customers!

Ask them about his tax evasion - how many prostitutes properly claim the revenues they generate from their hard work?

18. well if those cowards would come out and play
I could hand him some Guckert pics in person. Problem was the passer bys at their pathetic warped counter protest were only honking in support of Peace Fresno. That wore them down real fast and now they dont come around. Support for this invasion and occupation is a mile wide and millimeters thick. I wonder if the DC chapter knows how dedicated the freeper leadership aint?
