Is "Jeff Gannon" a plagiarist? Syria article.
Are thesse two articles on Syria similar because they're both from a White House press release intended to be used without attribution, or did "Jeff Gannon" plagiarize the UPI story?

1. "Who is UPI's reporter Pamela Hess?", might be a question.

2. I've seen her on C-SPAN a number of times
She was their Pentagon correspondent. I'm not sure if she still is.

4. Thanks. Based on your help, I've concluded that she is
legitimate, and James Guckert ("Jeff Gannon") plagiarized her.

3. About UPI's Pentagon correspondent, Pamela Hess...
Here's UPI's "about Pamela" page. She's worked for them since 1999,

http://about.upi.com/journalists/pamela_hess.jlst

<snip>
Pamela Hess is UPI's Pentagon correspondent, a post she has filled since March 1999, with a brief sojourn as White House correspondent from May to September 2000.

Hess spent two months in Iraq in 2003, half of the time with the 1st Marine Division in south central Iraq and the second half in Baghdad and surrounding cities covering the reconstruction effort. In 2002 she spent a month in Afghanistan covering the Loya Jirga and U.S. military operations there.

Hess was a feature writer for George Magazine and has also published feature and opinion pieces in The Washington Post. She is a periodic guest on CNN's "Reliable Sources" and C-Span’s "Washington Journal," and has appeared on "The McLaughlin Group."

6. Jeff Gannon being a plagiarist further undermines
the notion the he's a journalist who happens to be conservative.

A good journalist doesn't plagiarize.

7. Jeff Gannon: plagiarist and phony journalist, not
a conservative journalist.

Not a guy who even tries to be legitimate.
