The radical religious right wants to control education. They have

never accepted segregation and hate the ideas of democracy. In no other area do they see such a strong chance for the ultimate control of the people of the US than in the public school system. They want to destroy it and replace it with something that is molded on their concept of a biblical hierarchy. The public school system is what made America strong and destroying it will destroy us.

2. Of course, that is where I live and I see their influence becoming

stronger and stronger. Many of us use to scoff at and fight them religiously (lol) but it seems now that many have lost heart. I weep daily for this country.
