New name for the Iraq War --- Mr. Bush's War

I'm reading that kitty kelly book on the bush family and she says W's grandpa prescott used to call WW2, Mr. Roosevelt's War. That's a good put-down and got me to thinking.

1. Yes! Frame the debate.

He who frames the debate wins the debate. We now have polling numbers on our side and we can hang this war around Bush's neck like the albatross in the Ancient Mariner.

3. One senses that in 2008

the election will hinge on who can honestly claim to be able to get us out of Iraq. I hope, anyway.

Well, actually the best solution would be to get out well before then (and, incidently, not invade any other countries in the meantime). But I'm not optomistic on that score.

4. I prefer Operation Iraqi Liberation.

Otherwise known as O.I.L.

But perhaps that's to subtle. I do like the term "Mr. Bush's War."
