On MSNBC, Pat Buchanan says
Pope John Paul II and Ronald Raygun will be
"twins in the pages of history".
:wtf:
OK, now Tweety has Pat. Don't let him get away with that, Chris!
Chris says "Let me see if I can slice this baloney..."
Chris is slashing Pat for the Pope-Reagan comment. "I don't think they had the same philosophy."
Oh, now Pat says Episcopalians are dead.
Chris calls Pat "Pre-Vatican II".
Sheesh. I hate Pat Buchanan.

1. Me too
He's such an ass. I hate his whole "holier than thou" attitude. Whenever I see him I really sense he thinks he is. x(

5. Pat Buchanan is entertaining.
I don't know why, I actually greatly enjoy his ramblings.

Maybe it's because he was against the neocons and the Iraq War, but I get a sick enjoyment out of watching him broadside Bush occasionally.

Regardless, comparing The Pope to Reagan is like comparing Martin Luther King to Puff Daddy.

6. Thanks, I just missed
that and wondered what happened there. Pat agrees with the the parts of what the Pope said that I don't agree with. No mention of the war, caring for the poor, or the how the death penalty is wrong though was there. Nope he was no twin of Reargan.

Reagan cut programs that helped the poor, supported the death penalty, nuclear arms, didnt even recongize the AIDS epidemic until Rock Hudson died, oh yeah and he was a warmongrel too.

The Pope never starred in a movie with a friggin' APE...
...and for my money, that means they can NEVER be "twins."

More Thousand Island for Mr. Buchanan, please!

8. Even in death, they are pushing their agenda
Memo to Pat: The Pope was ten times more influential than Reagan. He ruled the Catholic Church much longer than Reagan ruled the U.S. Many more people listened to the Pope than Reagan. I didn't agree on many issues, but I respected the Pope.

9. He is absolutely correct: the good twin, and the EVIL twin.
Maybe he should have used the word doppelganger.

14. Doppelganger:
Meaning "double walker" a doppelganger is a shadow-self that accompanies every human. Only the owner of a doppelganger can see it, otherwise it is invisible to human eyes. Dogs and cats have been known to see doppelgangers. Providing sympathetic company, a doppelganger almost always stands behind a person, and they cast no reflection in a mirror. They are prepared to listen and give advice to humans, either implanting ideas in their heads, or a sort of osmosis. It is said to be bad luck if it is seen, and rarely a doppelganger will make itself visible to friends or family, often causing great confusion. Doppelgangers can be mischievous and malicious.

Couldn't help it, SS! "...cast no reflection in a mirror." :scared:
