It seems Iraq is an even bigger mess than we thought
Edited on Sun May-01-05 08:06 PM by DoYouEverWonder
Someone in Greece turned up the original version of the US military inquiry into the accidental killing of an Italian agent in Baghdad. Not only did the US lie about the circumstances that caused the killing of a top Italian agent, it is clear that the number or attacks and casualties against US Troops is far greater then is being reported in the media and/or that we imagined. Here's a few more nails for the Bu$h coffin. God damn liars, all of them.

Italy media reveals Iraq details

3. Stop it. The checkpoint has already killed a few families who didn't
Edited on Sun May-01-05 08:14 PM by applegrove
stop their cars. The agent assumed the kids with guns knew who they were or something and they just didn't slow down. Those soldiers are terrified. I wouldn't go near a checkpoint in Iraq unless my car stopped forty times as I got closer someone had padded me down and looked under my car and in the trunk and put a knife through all the vinyl. I would not go anywhere near a checkpoint without a driver who was well known to the soldiers there.

Someone rescued somebody and was home free and full of bravado and importance and didn't stop.

Enough.

6. The checkpoint?
Which checkpoint? The temporary one that was set up just for Negroponte's convoy to pass through or checkpoints is general? Killed what families? What are you referring to?

7. Relax. It's his job.
Come up with any and everthing he can think of to dismiss whatever is being discussed.

It's cool, though. What's a picnic without a few flys.

8. I am not a freeper. I am talking about the kids that were killed
at American manned checkpoints in Iraq. The innocents who were killed before the Italian agent was?

It is called context.

I'll go look for a link.

I am not a freeper and would rather we spent our time going after the freaks in the WH rather than guestimate investigations that have already happened.

11. I think you may have missed one of the points of my post?
What this report shows is that even in just this one area, it seems an extraordinary high level of casualties compared to what has been reported in the media on a daily basis. My guess is for every 1 KIA, there are 5 more that they are hiding.

13. Sorry - perhaps I jumped the gun. I don't want to see people into
one conspiracy after another. The facts we know are bad enough. If I skimed the title and jumped to a conclusion.. I am sorry.

16. Nor did I accuse you of such. Did you skim my post, too?
I appreciate your desire to give context. I've, in fact, been accused of terrible things having done the same. I agree that DU can be 'context challenged'.

But I've observed, frequently, what I wrote about. It goes like this..."move along, nothing to see he, I'm being reasonable, you're not".

"Stop it", seems more than trying to bring "context".

So bring a link. Put the comment in the form of a question.

Just sayin'.

4. This is a HUGE eye-opener...
just with a quick glance at some of the numbers....

1. (U) Iraq. From July 2004 to late March 2005, there were 15,257 attacks against Coalition Forces throughout Iraq. The U.S. considers all of Iraq a combat zone. (Annex 8E).

Did ya get that last tid-bit...All of Iraq is a combat zone.
Sweet Dreams...

9. More than a few families have been killed at checkpoints. This
family here was even slowing down in their car. Context people.

12. ALL of our 'news' on Iraq....ALL OF IT...is filtered through Pentagon.
So one can only imagine how horrific it must really be.

14. Just from skimming the uncensored report
I'd guess that the true figures are between 20 to 50 times higher than actually reported by the official government sources. Hope someone can flesh this story out. It could be huge in its implications.

15. It would be an interesting exercise
to try to trace some of these numbers back to the original press reports.
