2. I'd say you could run a stopsign and kill a man doing seventy
And only do thirty days jail time if you know the right people. Just hypothetical, of course.

:dunce:

4. Sorry
to burst your bubble, but DeLay is a Republican with "Christian values" from Texas. Do you even think he will be convicted of anything? If he killed someone, the senate would just pass a bill that murder was not a crime if committed by DeLay.
IMHO If convicted, he will get a letter of disapproval and that will be it.
Republicans haven't done time since Watergate, and those guys got a country club prison. DeLay needs to be treated the same as Susan McDougel.

5. To go to jail...
...he'd need to be a Democrat with a very thin case against him.

He's a rich Republican from Texas who is "a Christian", this is enough to keep him out of a jail despite the heavy case against him.

10. Gotta agree with all the rest
The absolute WORST thing that might happen to him is he'll get "repremanded" and get to go live the life of the idle rich on taxpayer money. Oh, and write a book.

You forget, criminal activity is encouraged and rewarded. Jail is for commoners.

11. go live the life of the idle rich on taxpayer money
have to disagree with you on the idle rich lifestyle -- it will be more like getting a job as a lobbyist or consultant

but yeah - he'll write a book -- "How I was nuked by the vast left-wing conspiracy..."

jail time - nope - it's ridiculous to expect a GOPer to be held responsible for his actions, it's always someone else's fault

13. Only if the Chimp decides to feed him to the sharks.
Should be interesting. Congresscritters have ended up in the clink before when their parties decided they were too contaminated to reform.

Who was that guy with the postal scandal, Rostenkawski?

14. They are to busy chasing down Martha Stewart to bother
with the likes of the bug man or a guy in the White House that stoled two elections and started a war based on lies..

15. I would hope so, but I just want him thrown out of Congress
IN DISGRACE!
That would be the number one goal.
After that it would be nice to see him prosecuted for his crimes.
After all Martha did much less and did time.

16. The reason he wants to "fix" the judge situation is for himself - in case
he is ever in front of one for sentencing. I mean that seriously - not sarcastically.
