Would Jesus ask for bin Laden's head on dry ice?

My first thought on hearing the following was to wonder if Bush planned to go on tv and pull it out of a box and set it on a desk. My second thought was "what have we become?"

Our system of justice is based on a trial, verdict, and then possibly a death sentence. While bin Laden deserves a death sentence, he deserves it after a trial if at all possible. This decision by those who want us to consider them our moral leaders is not normal, moral, or even something that I would consider sane. This? This is just sick.

If it's still attached to his shoulders he can give us more information, although realistically he probably wouldn't.

But why make him a martyr? It only guarantees that more will take his place.

And, yes, this is the first administration EVER (in my recollection)that openly talks about killing people.

Even Shroen said the usual instruction was to capture "if possible", which implicitly gives the go-ahead.
