Prayers are Answered One Way or Another.......
I guess if you ask enough times....I wonder how He determines who to answer?

This snip was taken from an article on the BBC Web site about the two teenage boys that were stranded out to sea for six days.....

>snip<

"I asked God to take me," Troy said. "You're out there fighting for your life. We didn't want to fight anymore."

Charleston coast guard June Ryan said the search team had prayed for a miracle - and "got one".

1. I often wonder...
how he knows which team to bless or which NASCAR driver deserves favor this week? Does he rate prayers somehow? I wonder what the system is?

Whatever it is, he'd better not let Diebold anywhere near it.

3. Exactly!!
I have some born again siblings. They are always praying for this or that....

I seldom pray and if I do it certainly isn't to ask for help. If I deserve help... he knows it... I don't have to ask.

4. I deeply resent the notion by anyone that God answered their prayers and
saved or helped them. Not just these two boys, but anyone in general.

I think it is the height of arrogance.

"I prayed, and God saved my life"

Oh yeah? What about all the people he doesn't save? Did they not pray hard enough? Were they not worthy?

6. I agree totally.....
I saw a newscast one time that was covering the destruction of a small town by a tornado. The town's church was of course completely flattened as was most of the town. The minister of the church was shown picking up an unscathed crucifix out of the ruins. He stated while holding up the crucifix..."See, God is still with us. He protected this crucifix!".....
