MSNBC : "Paula Abdul kissed me on the back of my neck..." !
This is news? MSNBC had on an interview with some contestant from American Idol, the TV show, and he said she called him on the phone. He had a tape of the call. If she assisted him with his hair or clothes, then that would not be ethical or fair, according to the rules of American Idol. He proceeded to tell how she came up behind him and kissed his neck....etc etc...

Then they cut to their next story. We have heard about the "runaway bride" down in Georgia. Next we will have a story about the "runaway groom" in California...blah...blah...blah.... Then I switched over to an entertainment network...

1.  I saw this last night on prime time
I stopped watching american idol when they voted Anwar off the show. My whole out look is how can the American public be obsessed with vote fraud on Idol but they're okay with Kerry getting screwed?
Oh well I guess I now understand the phrase " I am a republican can I have cheese with that."

2. Well, the game show scandals were big news back in the 50's
What's the difference with this getting any coverage? Both stories were relatively worthless in the grand scheme of things but people liked hearing about them.

Anyone who thinks America has dumbed down over the years really hasn't paid that much attention to what events/topics generated the greater interest amoung the hoi poloi throughout history.

6. ....snoooooore...
I tuned out Oprah several years back too. Not mentally stimulating enough for me, I'm afraid.

But, I do like Paula Abdul and I would be as disappointed as I was in Cos if I found out she broke the rules.
