Neither Dean nor Gore is likely to be a candidate in 2008, so it really is mental masturbation.

Go figure--the man's been out of politics for years.

I think the lesson here is, folks are not happy with the "conventional wisdom" out there and the candidates that come with it.

Gore and Dean may not be the likeliest candidates, but they're not obscure possibilities, either. And after all, who in their right mind is really going to get excited about Bayh--or Lieberman--or Warner--or Napolitano--or Biden--in the 2008 primaries?

Clearly Gore and Dean energize the base in a way almost no one else does.

(At least, so say TNA readers!)

Too late for me to edit my original post, but--wanted to note that a link to the Republican equivalent of the TNA Poll can be found in TNA's "Week 1" post for the TNA Poll. A link to that "Week 1" post can be found in the current TNA Poll post.
