So, I guess in the spirit of the apprentice the new entertainment is watching some asshole yell at people who are only trying their hardest to please him.

:eyes:

This world just pisses me off.

1. They're not trying to please him
They're trying to win money. They'd probably let you throw feces at them if it got 'em a $1,000,000 payday.

2. I've been watching Gordon Ramsey on BBC America
Yes, he's a total asshole of a boss. But in a creative industry like fine dining, he's the rule. He's a jerk because he utterly, completely believes in cooking the finest food possible.

FOX will probably ruin it, because American TV ruins British TV. But Ramsey is awesome.

"YOU DONKEY!" I can't wait.

3. you can believe in those things and not be a jerk
you don't need to be a self-absorbed douchebag who abuses others to be successful.

4. They did another series in Britain with 2 different chefs
(I guess Ramsey wanted too much money), but it was a bit of a flop. It seems that in the UK at least, the shouting and swearing is actually a major attraction.

Did they leave the swearing in for BBC America? Or was it all bleeped out?
