Please note that this is my idea, NOT DU's.

1. I voted "no" because DU must remain above the fray and not

associate with any outlet or other media whose main goal is to be profitable.

4. I'd agree with this

I'm very pro capitalism (pro-managed capitalism, not lord of the flies style laissez faire style), but I can't help thinking this would get us little we don't already have and might very well have negative repruccusions.

What would be the goal of such advertising?

that is how I heard about it....Boortz was bitching about an anti-Bush site so I just had to join the fun.

Plus, DU has been growing a ton without advertising...why change?

These others are listed on CSPAN's website - http://www.c-span.org/resources/blogs.asp - why not DU?

Its skinners business. He gets the long term benefits, as much as
it appears we get short term ones. If skinner made a way to share the
ownership of DU, that i could feel like one of the owners, even with
1 share of common stock, then i might consider investing to grow "our"
business.

As much as DU appears to be "US", it is really skinner. One could
argue that the POV's written our "ours" and therefore, by advertizing
DU, we're promoting our own politics. That is true to a certain
degree, however, the frontpages and the editorial projection of the
site speaks very loudly, more so than individual writers in the forums.

In that sense, it is clearly skinner's magazine, and his to promote.

7. Maybe, conditionally if they stop their "exclusive" XM agreement

and get Air America back on Sirius!
